08 Takeuchi TL-150 Blown hydraulic couplers...?

Just rented a trenching attachment from Cat...hooked it up and after trenching for about a minute the hoses blew off. The quick couplers on my skid were damaged. Parts of them were inside the attachments couples. I pulled them out and the attachment looked in tact but my couplers are...

Approach- Pull Pans/Twin engines/or Large Dozers?

Great feedback guys- thanks, keep um coming. Initially I thought one 627 and a D8. With the dozer I figured a guys could push as well as finish the slopes...waiting on compaction specs- I would think with a poly liner the specs will not be as tight as it is an impervious barrier.

Approach- Pull Pans/Twin engines/or Large Dozers?

    - Digging down 10' from existing topo...berms to be 2:1. Entrance pipe into pond coming up and over the berm, exit pipe exiting through and out of the bottom of the berm.

Approach- Pull Pans/Twin engines/or Large Dozers?

[QUOTE= " depending on slopes you are going to need a dozer anyways "- good point- slopes are to be 2:1

Approach- Pull Pans/Twin engines/or Large Dozers?

trying to make an efficient game plan here- digging a 250x250x10 pond with poly liner. Details: No export-spoils to be used for berm and small access road fill (close-approx. 100-150' from pond). No boring logs. Existing is pretty flat, lots of room to turn around/maneuver-pond built on farm...

    Hitachi ZX135UX or Komatsu PC-138US?

In the market for a 30K lbs short/zero tail swing excavator with thumb and push blade...considering these 2...demoed the PC-138 and liked it. I own a PC-200/thumb and like it. Not familiar with the Hitachi but heard good things...waiting on that demo. Any input from good seat time in these or...

    D6K vs. 5N/Hightrack vs. conventional

I am about to purchase a 30K lbs. size dozer and am looking at a D6K or D5N. Roughly the same size but any opinions on the benefits/differences of the high drive of the 5N vs. the conventional track of the 6K? Also, the Komatsu D51-EX is in the running. Anyone have a fair amount of seat time in...

    Market for finish 3D grading?

Yea, 10-4...we have a large size track skid I thought about putting a laser box on but they are pretty much only good for spreading materials, unless you are only trimming off .1-.2 to get to subgrade (we have rented them before). With a dozer at least you could both cut to subgrade, and spread...

    Market for finish 3D grading?

yes, you would need the CAD file...unless it is a simple flat pad, then laser control or conventional would work too.

    Market for finish 3D grading?

Hello-I currently own a small size excavating/site development company and am considering downsizing with the idea of possibly going back to an owner/operator set up specializing in 3D finish grading with a motor grader, (or perhaps even a finish dozer but I think a grader would offer more...

Takeuchi TL150 Sporadic Fuel delivery problem

I sidelined it for a few days but right now we are presently shooting in the dark...the thing is there is no warning lights/alarms prior to shut down, and it starts again right after shutting down. We cut open the fuel filter and don't see anything suspicious there either. All new filters, new...
