    cat 226

ok. i think i figured it out- the cat 226b came with the 2.2 3024c turbo engine and the cat 226a came with a 2.9 3034. i just assumed the 226a came with the same engine as the 226b just minus the turbo. but i was wrong.

    Cat throttle sticking

mine was like that too when i bought my cat last year. lubing it did not help- bought a new pedal assembly from cat for 176.00 and spent roughly three hours replacing it. i lube it on a regular basis, so i dont have to go through this again. just a pain in the butt install.

    cat joy stick problem?

got a cat 226 skid steer. the last couple of days i have notice that when i lower the arms, the contact in the joystick will stick and not release unless i move/wiggle the joystick pretty good. only does this is the lowering position . before winter i removed both boots for the joysticks...

Who uses a skid steer only at home?

i also use my 226 cat skid steer for personal use- just bought it 3 months ago- my first machine! i have a very long gravel driveway and a few acres of land- it definitely has made my life easier, clearing snow, moving/spreading dirt and stone. love my machine!
