Vacuum transducer to hold fluids in tank

some cat part numbers 5P-0306 - transducer 308-6636 - expanding plug

    Line Boring drives

does any one have experience with a set up like that? climax uses self alighting bearings that are also adjustable after you weld the mount on. I would imagine with straight bearings and no adjustment after the mount has been welded you may get your self in a bind

    Anybody using FLIR

its really nice to "see the heat", an infrared heat gun works very well but its really nice to point at a control valve and see the heat difference between components

    Anybody using FLIR

also super handy for hydraulic issues, bypassing oil creates heat so you can quickly spot open/leaking reliefs, bypassing cylinders and any thing else you can think of.

    Low hydraulic signal

Correct margin (load sensing) pressure will make sure that the pump is signaled to upstroke when an implement is activated. This will keep pump output at a higher pressure than the required load pressure.

    Low hydraulic signal

i would start with checking margin pressure "Cycle times for each of the circuits; boom, stick, bucket, swing and travel. Cycle times that are longer than shown in the Specifications are the result of leakage, pump wear or incorrect pump speed (rpm) or pump angle and stroke. See subject Cycle...

    Solenoid valve problem

im sure its going to leak, how much is hard to say but looks like it wouldn't be much. make sure pressure is of the tank and have something to plug the holes, you cold put a vacuum on the tank to slow it down and if the problem switches sides you know its that stem

    Cat 257b3 coolant missing

you can test for combustion gasses in your radiator, or do a cooling system pressure test to confirm

    Solenoid valve problem

I would pop the valves off and make sure theirs no debris and check that the plunger moves properly in the stem, maybe swap valves and see if the problem follows sides

    Solenoid valve problem

is it a double acting solenoid? do you have any photos. do you have proper power and ground at the solenoid and are there any debris caught in the orifices on the valve portion

    Auxiliary hydraulic issues

do you have a voltmeter? her is a link from the fluke website on checking continuity https://www.fluke.com/en-us/learn/blog/digital-multimeters/how-to-test-for-continuity

    Auxiliary hydraulic issues

how did you check the wires? did you test for continuity across the switch when depressed?

    Cat 385b boom drift reduction

to clarify it happens to the operator randomly a hand full of times during the day with no pattern that he has noticed. i can recreate the complaint by booming up and stalling the bucket all the way in and then try to boom down and it wont until you boom up slightly and then it will boom down

No idea, only way I can recreate the operators complaint
