    Doosan DX140 LC-7

Sorry I didn’t see this last post. Thank you so much for your great replies. We have forwarded them to our dealer. Apparently the parts are three months away but they are planning to remedy the situation.

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

Thank you very much. I passed this on to my dealer. He is a darn good guy but like everyone else trying to run a business in America he is unable to get enough good help. The ones he has who are good are very young and inexperienced. Not sure we will continue to lead anything in the world. Our...

Dumb question… does every excavator with pin grabber put the cab in reach of the bucket?

Just asking cause never had a hydraulic pin grabber before. Our new Doosan 140 will certainly put the bucket into the front of the cab if you are not paying close attention. I am not a new operator by the way. I am an old one. Like really old.

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

I guess I should explain our situation a bit. We live in a very small town in Alaska where there is no road connection to the outside world. We get our freight via barge or aircraft. We hardly ever get to try out a machine before we buy it. So far we have been pretty lucky. Most of the time...

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

Wow. You know a lot about hydraulic functions. Thanks so much for your reply. I am going to pass this in on to our dealer. Hopefully, he will get with Doosan.

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

We do have a great dealer. Unfortunately, I don’t think his service people have a lot of experience. Seems to me I should be talking directly with Doosan’s engineers

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

We have owned it for several months. It is a very well built machine with some great features. It does function well under load like excavating and moving material. I’m not sure what Doosan was thinking when they set this machine up in such a fashion. We don’t do mass excavation with a max hi ne...

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

Thanks for the reply. Can it be fixed or should we trade it for a Kobelco or Cat?

    Doosan DX140 LC-7

We have a new 2023 DX140 that absolutely will not grade. The boom cylinders act like they are full of air. When you raise or lower the boom the entire arm and stick bounce. I saw some posts of a similar problem with one in the UK. Anyone havin g the same issue here? Thanks

    Auxiliary hydraulics

74V02630. Would like to add a front lift group and snow plow. Would need at least two new circuits. Probably 3. Thanks

Educate me on motor graders, I'm looking to buy one

I have had at least 4 different motor graders in the past 15 years and have some advice. One short sentence…. If it ain’t a Cat it’s a dog. However, the old John Deere 570A we have has been very reliable and quite capable. It is far and away the most maneuverable and quickest of all the ones...

    Auxiliary hydraulics

I have a very clean 1995 Cat 130G I need to add some auxiliary hydraulic valves. Anyone know where I should tee into what lines to get pressure and return without messing anything up. Thanks in advance for any info.

MTL Attachments- not a good experience...

No I had them shipping it to our freight forwarder in Seattle. I just pissed the dude off because I called every couple of weeks to check on the status of my machines. Now I am trying to get refunded for extra parts I ordered to have on hand. Again they aren’t answering their phone, texts or...

MTL Attachments- not a good experience...

No I would not recommend MTL under any circumstances!

MTL Attachments- not a good experience...

Well I certainly won’t go there again. They took my money upfront about 8000 bucks worth. Sat on it for 6 weeks during which time I tried to check in to see what the status of my order was. Seldom does anyone answer the phone. The recorder says send a text or email. They rarely answer those. I...
