MA hoisting renewal, can I drive waiting on license to come in?

I renewed my license in a timely fashion. As soon as they sent me the documents I went ahead and did whatever I needed to. Had to do MA and RI at the same time. I got my RI renewal back within a week of sending it. My MA has not come yet. But they cashed my check almost a month ago. So am I...

    MA hoising license renewal

Does anyone know if they send me the renewal form or not? I just got mine from Rhode Island, but forget if MA mails it out to or if I need to do it all on my own. RI isn't having me do any continuing education or DOT physical either. Just want to be ahead of game so no lapsing in licenses.

    844 lull issue

Sometimes it is quite a forceful jerk to the machine. Even coming down slow. Cause I can tell when it might happen. It's never good when you have a load on it.

    844 lull issue

Not exactly sure how to describe it. But it seems on most 844 lulls that if you have the boom raised up and level the machine sometimes coming down something locks up and causes the machine to jerk. I think something in one of the pistons to level the machine gets locked up. That's best I can...

    Rhode Island hoisting license fees?

Also noticing that on the application it says "license and renewal fee" $42. So curious where they get that I owe $70?

    Rhode Island hoisting license fees?

So I just passed the test I took last Wednesday for my RI license. Today I get a notice from them saying I need to pay $70 for the license? I thought that was part of the test fee? I want to say when I did my license for MA it was test and license for one fee. Or maybe I am wrong?

    Application process

Yeah seems right to do that. Also in case I ever had to get another job I think having 2 previous employers looks better somewhat, when both liked me. Just a matter of getting them to do a new letter and how to explain to them what I want. Because I'm sure they won't get it lol.

How do I attain Federal OSHA Forklift certification?

Well I finally got a chance to call the RI Dept. of Labor and Training to speak to someone and he told me it was OSHA 29 CFR 19.10.178 which is the regulation #. This is on the card that I got from the rental guy who came to our shop to give a course on this. When in fact he told me he had no...

    Application process

Do they really look at this stuff closely? I am going to attempt to get a hoisting license in RI and they want past work experience. Well I worked for my current company on 2 different occasions. 2008-2010, laid off for about 2 years and then 1 year with another company, now back to the first...

    Discontinuing the Lull

Yeah I totally hated having to use a Gradall one day. The fact you have to use the boom on everything just is tricky. Plus not used to the controls all on one stick I think it was or just opposite of what I am used to. They probably are useful when it is for certain things, but in my trade it is...

    Discontinuing the Lull

Did a overview class at work with a rental guy to refresh us on telehandlers. He mentioned that they are discontinuing the Lull brand. That's really too bad I think, cause those are some good machines. I looked and I guess 2015 will be last year of production. I guess they built so many and they...

    Forklift Accidents

Exactly. With my work, more concerned about time being money than safety, even though they push for safety, but it's all a ploy to look good. Like today I was just in a machine that I never have run before. 1044 Lull. Did alright, but did I know anything about it before today, not much. Just had...

Do you need a license to run a bobcat or similar machine?

Guess I'll just stick with my 1C for now. It would be nice to have other licenses but that could get pricey if I don't use these things all the time. This was a random occurrence where we had a Bobcat as the machine we had available to us for the work site. Those things seem like they could be...

Do you need a license to run a bobcat or similar machine?

Yep definitely a pain. $75 to apply, then I think $60 per year to renew, on top of fees for Doctor visit and anything else.

Do you need a license to run a bobcat or similar machine?

Nope not union. State law. Must not have that in PA I imagine. You need to get a DOT physical and everything to apply. Have to renew it every year I think it is.And now they are getting us for more, they want everyone to do continuing education and get a certificate to get sent with each...
