    A wag from the bleachers. Engine coolant temperature sensor or circuit in my auto experience, temp stuck low, has caused similar problems.

    If the brown wire gets power from the solenoid I’d start there checking the voltage there, the above mentioned and for damaged wire. Or the same at where ever the brown wire gets power from.

    Case 580 super L hot starter and low voltage

    Start switch sticking in crank position? Relay similar? If one of the above may also cause low voltage. Had a F100 pickup come in with a burnt up starter. The start switch was sticking in crank position.
