Case 850C stops moving after about 45min

When the pressure drops, is the pressure consistant with the steering levers in high, low, and neutral? Forward and reverse? As sheepfoot said, remove the bolts holding the pto cover on and check the three steel oil rings. Also check the inside of the pto cover for grooves worn into it where the...

    850 case dozer transmission help

My 850 had numerous problems. The pto shaft cover that directs fluid to the forward and reverse clutches had grooves worn in it from the oil control rings. After the oil warmed up, it would start bypassing, keeping both forward and reverse clutch packs partially engaged. I replaced all the...

For parts I have had great luck with RPM machinery. http://partstore.casece.com/us/casepartstore/parts-search.html#epc::model_find Even when trying to find obsolete parts these guys have been great help. Case 450

The bolt you removed from the transmission is where the dipstick is supposed to be, but apparently yours was lost and replaced with a plug. The round thing next to that bolt is a breather. I do not know the length of the dipstick off the top of my head but can measure one for you tomorrow so you...

    D6c exhaust pipe help

Hello, I recently smacked a tree limb with the muffler on my D6c 10K9803, and broke the exhaust elbow that goes from the turbo up to the muffler. So far my local dealer has been no help. Can anyone get me a part number. Thanks in advance. Chris

    Komatsu D65P-7

Hello all. I found a Komatsu 83 D65P-7 local that I am going to go look at in the next couple days and was wondering what things to look for. Don't know much about Komatsu. Common problems with these machines? Thanks for any info. Chris

case 850b leaking from torque converter check plate

It took me 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get it out and 3 to 4 hours to get it back in. I am not sure how long it took to actually tear the converter down and inspect/ repair. It sat in the shop floor a while waiting on parts and me to get corn planted.

case 850b leaking from torque converter check plate

I had the same problem with my 850. Turned out to be a bad seal. It started as a fairly slow leak and then progressed to a large leak using about 5 gal of fluid in about 4 hours. That's when I decided I needed to tear into it. Seal #7 was the seal that was the real problem but all the other...

    Case 850 brake/turning issue

After a few minutes of thought I remembered how mine is set up. The lines from the master cylinder go to the control valve where they hydraulically shift the track to neutral. There should be two steel brake lines coming from the lower front of the control valve going down to the slave...

    Case 850 brake/turning issue

The brake housings are mounted to the front of the transmission, one on each of the drive shaft. You can trace your brake lines from the master cylinder back to the brake slave cylinder which is mounted on the brake housing. Like alrman said, they are likely in need of adjustment. Hope this...

Try RPM machinery. http://partstore.casece.com/us/casepartstore/parts-search.html#epc::mr61845ar491297bi1206001-13 Their website shows the Part # as G100305, but this number has been updated. Just give them a call and they should be able to help. I have used them several times in the last few...
