    Dozer vs Track Loader

I'm not sure where you're at in WI but I don't see many beyond the SE part of the state. I'm just south of the border in IL and track loaders are everywhere. I have a 953 and while running it one day I realized I can think of 11 other track loaders just amongst friends and acquaintances in my...

What to do before using rental or used hydraulic equipment.

When using someone else's attachments on my equipment I always spin a quick coupler off and run a few gallons of oil through it until I can see a visible color change or I hope I ran it enough to flush it out. Usually 1.5-2 gallons is more then enough for compact equipment. If the attachment...

    Gehl Skid Steers

I wonder if they ever figured out the problems since 2007.

    Conexpo 2023

Definitely never ended up doing that. I kept checking on hotels, flights, etc, even had another friend look and I couldn't seem to find anything that wasn't sketchy or way off the main strip without spending far more money then it was worth to me. I think it would be a cool show to see but I...

    Overload of the Day

Gives you the ability to smash the fenders in that you can't do on a single wheel.

    New pickup

I got all excited that someone found a really nice LBZ duramax then realized how old this post was.

Cats are soooo expensive compared to kubota. What’s the reason?

I know our local Cat dealers have since been bought out and hopefully things have improved. The previous owners I think ran under the principal of it's their territory so even if you don't like them you still are in their territory so to bad. I haven't been in the market for anything new lately...

Cats are soooo expensive compared to kubota. What’s the reason?

I did my purchase back before everything was hard to get and the 306 was fairly new to the market. Now I'm amazed when any dealer has something but at that time every dealer had equipment lined up on the lot.

Cats are soooo expensive compared to kubota. What’s the reason?

I noticed the same when I bought my Takeuchi TB260 and priced out every brand who would get back to me. Cat and JCB were iirc about 21-22k more for the same size machine (Cat 306, don't remember what the JCB model was). I talked with the Cat salesman, told him the rough price difference and...

    Just some work pics

The welding trailer looks very similar to the trailers I see farriers (horse shoers) use if they don't have a similar style bed mounted on a pickup. Instead of a welder in the center they'll usually have a swing out propane forge, vice, bench grinder setup, etc.

    Hydraulic accessory controls

As digger doug said, it's likely the right handle "up/down" tilt. It probably doesn't have a detent to lock it on and he would have to hold the lever up or down the whole time. Other things to consider is if it has enough cooling capacity to run the mower without getting hot and he will want a...

    Hydraulic accessory controls

I would say he doesn't know what model machine he has which makes it tough to determine what he needs to do to run attachments if it has 2 aux lines to the front.

2019 John Deere 333G track skid

I have not, but I know the land clearing/mulcher guys don't speak very highly of the Deere machines for performance and they also burn fairly frequently it seems. Usually they're a complete loss within a minute.

ISO recomendations on a Dozer blade for CTL

It has a magnet on the back and I stick it to the right side of my cab just above the joystick for the loader/bucket and it's actually handier to use then I expected. I figured I'd hate it and end up ordering the SS Genius control setup but it's not bad at all.

ISO recomendations on a Dozer blade for CTL

They don't have nearly enough joystick functions to properly run a grader blade. I have a TL230 (basically a newer version of the TL130) and use a Bobcat control box with 5 rocker switches and a separate 14 pin wiring harness to control my blade. I'm able to use all functions as well as control...
