    Isuzu starter woes

Had similar problems. Solution was adding a heavy guage ground conductor to the starter case, and connecting all grounds physically together, i.e. engine, battery, and starter.

    Takeuchi small hydraulic filter

I'd bet you could get suitable replacement flexible hose from Napa, or any other automotive or heavy equipment shop.

    Takeuchi small hydraulic filter

If the flexible hose seems to be unable to remove, I'd purchase a new one and cut the old one off. Once cut it 2, you'd be able to remove and replace the filter, and have an easier time removing the old hose.

You need to break the rubber hose free. Then access to remove the filter will be simple.

    Installing a thumb on a Takeuchi TB016

Found parts manual for TB016. Section for hydraulic thumb has an overload valve listed, p/n 1901736200. Would you install this in series before your thumb cylinder?(rod end).

    Installing a thumb on a Takeuchi TB016

Where on the boom is the overload valve? Looking at the auxiliary control valve on my TB016 there looks to be relief valves on each end,one goes to the extend side of the thumb cylinder, the other to compress side, I think. Each appearing to have allenhead adjusting screws I'm no expert, still...

    Installing a thumb on a Takeuchi TB016

My understanding is that the relief valve does exactly that. You loosen the hexnut, and turn the allenhead ccw to decrease, and clockwise to increase pressure. It's something I've yet to do myself, as I recently installed a hydraulic thumb on my TB016. I'm not sure where to hook up a guage to...

    Installing a thumb on a Takeuchi TB016

Follow the auxiliary lines/hoses from your stick, to your main control valve blocks under your floor. The control valve for the auxiliary hydraulics is there , each side has its own relief, at least that's the case with my takeuchi tb016. If you need the part number still, I can look it up when...

    Takeuchi tb016 questions

Any input concerning my hydraulic issues, as in hydraulics getting weak when operating tracks and boom at same time, and when the machine is elevated via blade and boom, it leaks down. Is that normal?

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that.

    Takeuchi tb016 questions

The air in the fuel water seperator, when it's there has not had any effect on the engine. But I can't help worry that at some point it might .

    Takeuchi tb016 questions

To clarify what I'm saying in the above post, when I'm only operating the boom when digging, the hydraulics are strong. The hydraulics are strong when moving the machine forward or back, but when the 2 are combined, the hydraulics weaken.

    Takeuchi tb016 questions

Ser# 11605334. Is it normal for the hydraulics to weaken when traveling and operating the boom together. Also when I elevate the machine with the blade and boom the hydraulics will leak down in 5-10 minutes. Is that normal? Or are these indicators of problems, and if so where should I be...
