    Niveltronic Plus

I own a Vogele 5200-2 that has the Niveltronic system. Very easy to use and the integration with the Vogele / Wirtgen platform is seamless and system-wide where others are just add on's for the tow point cylinder. Ours is used with a Carlson EZ-IV screed.

    small curbing machine?

We use a Miller walk behind curbing machine. I paid for that machine on it's first day. Can't say that for too many things you buy. It's extremely profitable. Miller has a great customer service department that can manufacture any kind of form you can dream of. They are usually around...

    Trench Compaction

We have also backfilled w 9m limestone and then sprayed some asphalt emulsion on top of the trench to alleviate washouts. Its essentially the same as a chip and seal surface at that point. They must have some willing labor across the pond because I would go through 15 workers before I got 12...

    Best Software for CAT Dealers

Nearly all rental companies used to use WYNNE. I would suppose Cat has some proprietary software they are using now but I will try and find out. RentalMan was another company but I think WYNNE bought them out.

    Blasting bedrock for a driveway

They sure didn't do you any favors cutting the main road that deep. My .02, unless this is very valuable property from an investment standpoint, you will never come out ahead constructing a road for residential use. I would say you are going to be in the 250k+ range to get a road in there but...

    Trench Compaction

Dig with the trencher and backfill with 1/2 inch limestone ? I come up with about 47 tons of rock per trench. For the trouble of dealing with the soil and headaches later on with not meeting compaction, maybe this would be a better option. We often use a limestone here called 9m (Kentucky)...

    buying rental equipment

We purchase alot of rental equipment for our fleet. I worked in management for RSC Equipment Rental for 5 years and can tell you that their equipment is serviced meticulously. Some rental companies are better than others. And machine condition can vary greatly. Buying direct from the rental...

    jd 650h

There is a rubber plug on the side of the engine at the flywheel that you need to remove. There is a tool you can order that fits in there to set the engine at the correct rotation point. Check with a fuel pump supplier or deere dealer for the timing kit would be your best option. I think...

    Steel rim repair

Just FYI. And it may not apply to you. But OSHA STRICTLY prohibits the welding or heating of any type of rim. There is a lot of liability out there for this type of repair.

I need help pricing and selling our dozer

One of the best "true price" selling sites these days is Iron Planet.com You have to be willing to sell at a No Reserve price although I can tell you that machines will bring nearly every dollar that the market will bear. I can tell you that the cat class for Dozers has been fairly weak over...

Certain funtions are slow on 220LC-V (left track drive, etc)

Manual Naut....thanks for the reply Yes, the swing is very slow. The bucket may be a little slow but not as noticable. Left track is slow. Right is ok. When you first go to pickup the boom, the engine stalls. If you slowly ease into the boom up function, you can get it to start working...

Certain funtions are slow on 220LC-V (left track drive, etc)

Hoping that a pump failure is not the case. The previous owner told me he was repairing a leaking o-ring and it came apart when they removed it and some of it went into the line (???) The machine does have piggyback pumps. When you first go to raise the boom, it overloads the engine...

Certain funtions are slow on 220LC-V (left track drive, etc)

No luck yet. Currently pulling apart the relief valves to see if anything is hanging up or there is an obstruction.
