    Cat 236B ... can't release parking brake

    Thanks for this valuable information. Can you tell me what manual these instructions came from? In test 3-8 there are some solenoids mentioned. I don't know where these are. Is there a way I could get this manual in order to complete this procedure? Thanks again.

    This skidsteer is old enough to have come over on the Mayflower, so first off the seat switch was wired around, so it's not the problem. I'm a rookie at this electrical diagnosis, too. I was tinkering with it all day yesterday, started the thing at one point and voila! the seat belt warning...

    Can anyone tell me where the seat belt flashing light solenoid is on a 236B?

    Where is that solenoid? I'm having the problem you described with my skidsteer. I can start the engine, but the hydraulics won't work and the seat belt light flashes both when the engine is dead and the engine is running.

    Cat 236B ... can't release parking brake

    I'm new to this forum and posted this question on the wrong thread. When I start the engine two lights are flashing and I can't get them to turn off. 1) the parking brake on 2) the man with the seat belt just to the right of the parking brake on. I've never seen a flashing light on this...

    When the engine starts the parking brake and the man with the seatbelt flash and I can't get them to turn off in order to move the machine.
