    1997 1900 DC issues

press the s until it says sen. then use the calibrate buttons to lower the sensitivity by going up in number. 5 is stock going toward 10 should make it less jumpy if I remember right. DC's weren't proportional they just bump up and down to make grade. they all jump a little when your sitting...

    W2200 lower Conveyor use

You should when possible always unload it. I feel it has less to do with belt wear and more to do with the high spike in pressure to start the belt. Which can cause blowing hoses and shearing the key ways on the hyd motors. I have had hoses blow when I want able to empty out the belt on older...

W2000 with level pro grade control question

When you have the level pro controls like the newer 200 series grinders, does the little red light next to the A for each side auto come on? On ours you have no way of telling wether the box is on or off until the operator turns them on? Any ideas?

    Favorite Mills

Yep they did except they say use the brass hammer but that doesn't cut it. Sometimes you'll get it where you think it's tight but as soon as you smack the back of the holder it's loose again. Sometimes you have to work it a little at a time. Tighten then hammer and so on until you get it all the...

MULTIPLEX - Do you use them?

Just hook up the multiplex arms and sonics but don't turn them on. Nobody will ever know. However on the w210 it works waaaay better then the older Wirtgens. Can't beat the level pro system on those machines.

    Favorite Mills

For the wirtgen system the main trick is to relieve them with a hammer when the holder is only partially tight then torque it down the rest of the way. Almost every time you just sink them down with the impact the holder will be in a slight bind which will make the holder come loose once you've...

    Rear Steer options

most w2000's have a knob on the back right corner to adjust the pressure also if they just replaced the carbide cutting edges on the moldboard it will cut like a knife and always catch. one solution is welding some additional steel on the bottom of the door to increase the surface area to spread...

    Rear Steer options

I just cant see how some operators can handle a machine running with something not right about it especially if it make your job more difficult. Its simple JUST KEEP UP YOUR MACHINE AND DONT BEAT ON IT. life will be good

    Rear Steer options

What I have heard from the factory for the wirtgen machines is to use a laser on the frame of the track and line it up with something on the front track while the machine is in the air. Don't know exactly how this works but it makes sense. I know when they are new they have hash marks on the...
