    Green paint

First off that is a really nice Deere you have there, I am currently trying to purchase a 7410 and really wish it was at least a 7610. On the Case tractors I used to run for my uncle we would take flat bar a little wider than the flasher light that stick out over the duals and bend the flat bar...

Is there a better way to straighten Vee shaped radiator fins?

The pliers you have appear to be snap ring pliers to me. I bought a set of ICON brand snap ring pliers from Harbor Freight a while back and the tips of them look very similar to those and they have different angles also. Precision Snap Ring Pliers, 8 Pc. (harborfreight.com)

Backhoe outrigger do not retract completely

There are a couple things I can think of that could possible be an issue. On some hydraulic circuits there are some type of check valves that are designed to keep pressure on a cylinder so that it does not retract in the event of a hose busting, for example outriggers on a crane and could be...

    What's your hoe doing?

My hoe is getting a couple new bushings and a couple new hoses on the steering cylinders.

    My Case 580C Rehab.

Todays project is to weld in some new bushings. I know that this is not the correct way to do this but for the amount of use that this hoe will see this is what made the most since. I can always cut them out and weld new ones in. Part of the problem was the pin that they had in there was way to...

    So, yellow isn’t yellow?

I agree taping things off when painting makes a big difference, also aluminum foils works awesome in a lot of places especially things like hoses and wires because you can form the foil to any shape and is quick and easy install and removal.

    My Case 580C Rehab.

Got a new pin welded in the shuttle shift handle and also welded up and ground down a few areas that were showing quit a bit of wear then got a fresh coat of paint on all of it. May need to buy a new j spring though, I had to put mine in the vise and compress it some to make it work again but we...

Wait for them to blow, or preventive maintenance hydraulic hose replacement?

I am pretty much in the same spot you are with our backhoe. We have a 500 acre farm and the back hoe will rarely leave our place but when it does I do not want something to break going down the road. So with that said once I get all the major items repaired and I am to a point were I am not...

Replacing all hydraulics hoses with Cloth protective covering?

I agree on the Gates hoses. Our local NAPA went to Weatherhead hose years ago and the outer rubber layer was spiral wrapped on and within no time in the sun the rubber would start to crack along the joints of the spiral and let rain water in then the hose would be bad and a lot of the hoses that...

    My Case 580C Rehab.

Thanks that is exactly what I was thinking it should look like. I have the j spring but like I said someone either weld a pin in there at some point our it came from the factory like that but as of right now there is not a pin there as it has rotted away or wore away so there is nothing pushing...

    My Case 580C Rehab.

I used bondo products from auto zone. On the flat sides I layed parchment paer down on the floor then set the dash on that then worked from the inside. Sand everything first then apply some resin and either cloth or mat and repeat till built up enough. Then on the outside I used a little body...
