    Falling Scrap Iron prices

Scrap it is... Anybody breaking a ship or do you have a primary scrap yard within hauling distance? Look for a facility with a shear or something to pull it apart. I doubt it's worth your time to separate the metals and deal with the insulation. You might have to treat the insulation as haz...

    Falling Scrap Iron prices

If you have the equipment, separate the tank from the trailer. As it's being scrapped, a mobile dry bulk tank isn't worth much. A Flexi-van trailer maybe.

    Anti-Seize compound usage?

Lug nuts on my antique Porsche car have Anti seize from the factory. Steel studs, aluminum nuts. I always require any tire service to use a special socket I supply, to remove the nuts. And leave the car outside for me to use my torque wrench for final torque. Years ago, NTW screwed up the...

    Radio Loses station

Auto radios have a "memory" lead that requires constant 12 volt power. Perhaps your dozer radio either has lost its memory lead or memory fuse is blown.

    What's your hoe doing?

There's an exception... A clear hazard like a dead tree is the responsibility of the property owner. I got a neighbor (in Georgia) to remove a dead tree threatening my house with a letter informing him, copied to my insurance company. As I understood the situation, after paying my claim, my...

    What's your hoe doing?

I have a repurposed boat shed for the backhoe. Increased the side height from 5 feet to 9 feet, with new metal. Anchored it with 5 per side 4 foot rebar driven with the last 6 inch bent over. Heated with oxy/acc then bent.

    JD 310 D injector pump

I had the same issue with my 310C. Sent the pump for rebuild. Do not take the injection pump off before investigating the proper procedure. Retiming the pump to the engine is a WHOLE lot more work than doing it correctly.

Any tricks to get JIC fittings started in cramped area's?

Next time ... Make a loop of string or small diameter rope. Use the loop to make a Prussic loop on the hydraulic line. This gives you a helpful loop to pull or hold the line.

    Just whining about people.

Better is "round-up" or glyphosate herbicide. Takes a week to kill the grass. Revenge is best served cold.
