Thanks for the good pictures and advice Boone. I think you are slowly finding the culprit. Sometimes you have to work through a couple of systems by process of elimination. I hope others can give you advice on the pump but those injectors look nasty. Anything you do there would be an...

    Backhoe log splitter attachment-re-engineered

Yeah that is a much better design. I would do that one over the one I have. <sigh>

    Backhoe log splitter attachment-re-engineered

I totally agree! It was a "live and learn" moment. I paid way to much for this to have to do this amount of work. I was very dissapointed but had to do something or I had a pile of steel that was usless. If I were to have started from scratch I would have made the splitter attachment 2 or more...

That is a long run to dig a trench and to run a water line. I hope the guy used at least 1inc or bigger pex? Glad you got the job done though. That is weird that precious has that problem on starting. I will keep thinking on it. You have tried all the logical steps I would have taken as well...

    Backhoe log splitter attachment-re-engineered

Overall it works good for the big huge rounds you dont want to mess with by hand. Small stuff is too small and inefficient to mess with, perhaps in the future I will mess with it some more, but for now at least it will split wood and not crumple up with the force of the curling action of the...

    Backhoe log splitter attachment-re-engineered

I beefed it up by adding 1" and 1-1/4" x 3 " bar to the arms, and wedge plate, plus added a forward and rear support to counter act the bucket curling.

The arms were 2" square tubing which bent like butter.

    Backhoe log splitter attachment-re-engineered

I bought an online backhoe log splitter attachement from a company back in March. Unfortunatly, I believe the company is more suited to building these for mini excavators, however they said they could build one for my backhoe. When it came it, it looked very light weight and althought I had...

Hey Boone, Ive been tied up an off of the forum the past couple of months but jumped back on to see how you wound up with your starting issue and see you have dug a water line from Tennesse to New Mexico! -LOL! That looked like a job! How many feet/yards was the water line dig.? Also was your...

You mean you didn't read in the owners manual about the Deere anti-theft device???!!! Every time you have to start those SE's you have to jiggle the throttle linkage! No just kidding! That is an odd one? Seems to be a gremlin in the works? Let me think on this, but it appears you may have a...

So are you thinking this is an electrical problem in that it wont crank the starter motor, or is it a fuel delivery problem where the starter cranks but the engine wont fire? PS I still haven't tackled my crowd cylinder leak yet....sigh too much going on...

MAN!! That is a great job! You know you just saved yourself $900-$1200 or more dollars by doing that yourself!! NOW you have inspired me to do mine. I will try your approach and start on the pin first to see how tight everything is. Its not going to happen for me for a while as I have too many...

Wow! Check out that leverage! And Dad's not even building up a sweat it seems??. Good idea on the tracto to hold the pin area!! What did the air hammer chisle end looks like, -round or like a flat headed screwdriver? So would you recommend the Deer seal kit over the other? Did you fire it up yet...
