    Case 90xt won't move

I have had electrical issues with my 90XT thru the years also. I have replaced or bypassed the cab and seatbar safety switches. I have cleaned the fuse box several times. I also carry a couple of relays that are in the fusebox. When my brake is locked I replace the relay for that circuit and I...

    Gehl / Perkins 4-154 head

I rebuilt my Perkins 4.154 about 8 years ago. Head was fine. Master engine rebuild kit was hard to find and very expensive. This engine was used in lots of applications skid steers, chippers, trenchers, combines, irrigation pumps, sailboats, etc. Try boatdiesel.com the forum there has excellent...

    252B - VTS Loegering Question

I am not sure what the numbers mean but I have rebuilt the hub assembly. I pressed the spindle out of the hub and replace the bearings and seal. Do you have the owners manual and do you see a serial number on the tracks?

just bought a case 95xt have questions

I have used relays from local parts store with no issues. The hub assembley does have to be removed and the shaft pressed out to access the bearings. The last time I had the hub assemblies off I drilled and tapped two holes in each assembly. Now I run gear oil in the hubs. I use my 90XT to run...

just bought a case 95xt have questions

I have a 90XT of the same year. I suggest getting a few extra relays to carry with you. These machines have trouble with the parking brake coming on and not releasing. Check the condition of the fuse block. It can get filthy. The safety switches on my seat bar and cab have been replaced or...

    2002 90Xt with problems

I own a 2000 90XT. You definitely have a mess to clean out. If the floor is that filthy then the fuse block is probably nasty too. All functions operate thru the fuses and relays. I do not recognize the hydraulic hoses. I have had several of the oringed fittings vibrate loose and leak.

    Case 85xt help!!!

I had the same issues with my 90XT last week. We cleaned the fuse panel it was packed with debri. Used air pressure to clean debri. Pulled each fuse and cleaned or replaced. Cleaned all connections with fine sandpaper. I do keep a set of relays handy to replace when they go out.

    What's This For?

I have the same ROPS on my 1978 John Deere 450C except mine is painted black. I don't have the loop like yours. It is a good idea. I generally tie or wrap extra chain around the ROPS.

    85xt switches

On my 90XT I think I only have 1 toggle switch and it is for the hydraulic quick disconnect.

Buying a Case 90XT -too many hours?

I own a 90XT. Overall it has been a great machine. I think Case underrated the XT machines. I would definitely check the wheel bearings. The manual says to repack wheel bearings every 1000 hours. I did this a few times then I drilled and tapped two holes in the wheel hub and I run gear oil. I...

    Improving trailer brakes

I asked him why drum and not disc brakes. He said the dealer he bought parts from said there have been issues with the disc brakes for 10k axles. He used all Dexter parts. This dealer has a good reputation and has always taken the time to explain options for new trailers or repair.

    Improving trailer brakes

A neighbor just put new 10K axles and hydraulic drum brake system on his gooseneck. He puts lots of road miles on his trailer. He said $4500 in parts he did the labor. Dealer wanted $7000 to do the job. He says it stops much better. He can slide the trailer tires with a load on. I am taking my...

    Improving trailer brakes

The axle is out of the trailer and brake parts are off. The spindle is definitely bent. The axle is fine. I do have an axle jig that I borrowed so that I can measure the deflection. If you heat and try to straighten the spindle it is a heat treated part and won't be as strong as before and...

Park brake stuck on 85 xt

I have had the same issue with my 90XT. You can switch some of the relays to different positions and see if that helps. One of the relays toward the front of the machine is for the parking brake. I purchased new relays and then cleaned the fuse box connections. About a week later the safety...
