Cat 345 B Leaking hydraulic fluid in engine oil

Does the shear have a rotator on it. If so, it could be the rotator.................

    Cat HEUI pump failure

The Ford power strokes uses a in line filter on thier HUEI pumped engines. I used the same in line filter on the C-9 (it fits). This screen is a very fine screen. It will plug up fast when the HUEI falls apart and the engine will die due to the lack of oil going to the injectors. It is mounted...

    Cummins N14 Celect top end

Bottom the injectors two or three times to remove the fuel. Torque the adjusting screw to 25 inch pounds. Back off two flats. Torque the lock nut.

    Cranes or compaction or skydiving

I can ask next time I go to the DZ. No way am I doing something like this. I dont think the accerleration would really be to harsh on a human body. I would think the shock loading of the force would break a leg or hip. But some of the crazier guys at the DZ said they heard of it being done.

    Adding additives to 3406B

Also, remember that that ULSD is now mandated for certain year models now for on road and off road.

    Lug Nuts and Studs

An impact can cause damage to lug nuts. A Dodge should be around 100-135 ftlbs of torque. I have a IR IMAX 1/2 drive impact that is rated at 780 ftlbs. It could also be from being loose like someone said earlier. I would want to look at the studs and nuts to see what they mean by "worn out"...

    Cranes or compaction or skydiving

I just came back from my local DZ today and showed this. Cant speak for this specific clip, but guys are actually doing this. It is a cross of ground launching and base jumping. Back when base jumping started off, people said a lot of the clips were fake, that you couldnt free fall from 500'...

    Trailer Tires E ply G ply 17.5?

What are the tires rated? What is the reccomended tire pressure of the tire. How old are the tires? Can you post a photo of the tire wear? This sounds like a wear pattern called "river run". Any free wheeling axle (steer axle or trailer) can have this wear. I seen this on my steer tires and I...

SOS results on my D3s Final Drives.

Keep in mind that correct oil analysis is a trending process. What was your last analysis on this compartment? Was it clean? If this was your first oil pull from this compartment. The ISO 4406 came back very high which suggests the oil hasnt been changed for a while. First, the SOS came back...

    The way we work Mk2

I am not in construction. However in my world, I remember doing inframes on Cummins 855's every 300,000-400,000 miles. Warranties were 12 months or 100,000 miles. 3 MPG. My brand new personal cars were one year warranties. Chanaging points and condensors every year. Today I would be very upset...

    The way we work Mk2

I just came back from a STLE three day class on oil sampling and best practices and we were challanged to go back and do a ISO 4406 sample on our new hydraulic and engine oil. I took them up on the challange and I was shocked on what my oil came back on. 51,800PPM >4 7409 >6 352>14. This...

    The way we work Mk2

On the other side of this coin is that pennies equates to nickels, dimes and eventually dollars. Every little bit helps. I think the manufacturer should do some R&D and testing of their equipment. They should know the cycle times, fuel consumption et el. It relates to profits. And if company ABC...

    Truck and trailer shed

I was thinking of along the same lines. Our local waste transfer station has a large fabric building. For a parking spot with no concrete flooring, it may not be any taxes accessed, no PE drawings needed for building permits. Here is one of the sites...

    Good Hydraulic Fluids

From my understanding, the zincless oils are for units with sensitive copper and silver parts. The zinc acts as a metallic particles and tears up the copper and silver lined parts. Mobil M-46, Castro zz and Chevron Clarity meets the ISO 46 with zinc free.
