Drott 40 bucket and teeth question

Got an old drott 40 track hoe. Is the pin pattern on the bucket the same as a Case bucket? If not, anybody know the measurements for the bucket pins by chance? I know these machines are old and very few people like them. I’m hoping somebody out there can help. Thanks.

    Case 450 Torque Converter

I took apart my tc to reseal and there is no flex plate. Functioned perfectly before disassembling just leaked. It is a very early case 450 (1967). I know there were some differences in the early ones but did they not have a flex plate either? Wondering if it was not installed the last time...

1967 Case 450 Dozer Transmission Oil HELP PLEASE!!

What oil do I use? I’m confused more than ever. You can’t get TCH anymore and many are saying NOT to put hy tran in it. I’ve heard ATF and even 15w40 engine oil and everything in between. Please help.

    Control Valve Part Identification

Case Drott 40. Can someone identify this for me? I can’t find the part. It looks like a nut but I assume it’s a relief valve or something part of the spool. It’s rusted through and peeing fluid.

    Drott 40 Hydraulic Pressure

Got an old Case Drott 40 B series with Detroit 4-71. Working on some engine stuff but also having trouble figuring out the working psi as I begin changing hoses. I’m hearing they are low pressure machines compared to today’s standard and two wire braid with working pressure of 2400-2500 r2...

Detroit 4-71 exhaust manifold temp question

Update: after running it yesterday for about 7 minutes the exhaust manifold on cylinder 3 and 4 did finally warm up but was 30 degrees cooler with temp gun than cylinders 1 and 2. Shooting the gun on head thought it was consistent on all 4 cylinders running 160 degrees. The engine cranks good...

Detroit 4-71 exhaust manifold temp question

I have a temp gun. Didn’t run it long in case there was a problem. Plus, wanted to get thermostat put in before I ran it a while. Exhaust manifold is a vertical stack in the middle. As far as 2 vs 4 valve head, it was a 2 valve so that’s what we built.

Detroit 4-71 exhaust manifold temp question

Have a newly rebuilt 4-71 2 valve Detroit that cranks and runs good. But, exhaust manifold not heating up evenly. Gets too hot to touch on cylinder 1 and 2 within a couple of minutes as expected BUT manifold on cylinder 3 and 4 doesn’t get hot at all. Can lay my hand on it and leave it there...

    Case Drott 40 Help

Bought a cheap drott 40 with seized engine and rebuilt. Detroit 4-71. On to the hydraulics. The low pressure return fitting at bottom of hydraulic swivel broke off. Tried to weld on machine but discovered it’s cast. Does the bottom casting of the swivel come off separately or do I have to...
