Newbie Needs Advice on Sterling Truck - Please Help!
We have a 95 Pete with a 12.7 Detroit that runs great very few issues an a ton of miles. We also have a 04 Freightliner with the 14L Detroit that is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever seen, nonstop wiring/ECU issues, fuel leaks, fix the fuel leaks an it loses fuel prime for weeks after... -

What engine do you prefer.
Where I work we have a varity, 2 Mack E-7's 1 mech. 1 Elc. I won't be biast to Mack fans as I am not one hahaha.:my2c 2 Detroit's a 12.7 that works great and a 14L that works good when it wants to. 3 N-14's Love them good power, good milage and not many issues other than normal wear, Then... -

Your opinion of a 10 speed transmission in a dump truck?
I couldn't agree more, where I work we have a Peterbilt tandem dump with 12.7 60 Series and a 10 speed and a Freightliner N-14/450 with 10 speed that I pull our lowboy with and I could say a bad thing about either. But as far as the 13 speed our other Freightliner tractor has a 60 Series... -
