I agree, they can do almost anything, maybe a little slower than with the correct machine, but they'll still do it

Pin on wheel loader bucket wont take grease

well done d4dozer, I was wondering how you were getting on with this. On a side note, how is your 220-5 getting on? I have been curious since I found out we bought the other one from the same bloke you got yours off. Ours has been getting a bit of a hammering lately and appears to be taking it...

    budget weighing systems

Has anyone used a Tara weighing systems setup for weighing whats in the bucket of your loader? It seems really cheap, I'm just wondering what its like. I don't need any better accuracy than what claims are made in the ads. $7500 for a load rite system or $1200 for a Tara setup is a big hurdle to...

    Pc220-5 problem

Ours is pretty bad for blocking air filters if you are in dusty conditions, the result was something like what you are talking about. steve

    Pc220-5 problem

Suction strainer is in the hyd tank, pull the bolt on plate off the top and the strainer will pull out (and spill bloody oil everywhere....)

    Komatsu pc 220-5 fan belt

Its back together and running good now, belt replaced and cooling system drained, flushed and refilled with new coolant. The bloody aircon mounting bracket on this one (I'm not sure its standard) is a right b*****d to get to with the spanners to loosen the belt and almost as bad to tighten up...

    Komatsu pc 220-5 fan belt

I dont know how long the previous one had been on there for but if it was a narrower section belt than is recommended I cant imagine it helping the life span much, oh well I'll find out this afternoon. Its a lovely day for changing fan belts.....its only 40C thanks for your help Steve

    Komatsu pc 220-5 fan belt

well from what I have found your book is pretty well on the money, I managed to decipher the part number of the shredded one, it turned out to be a Dayco belt 15A1270 which is a 15mm wide 1270mm long one. Maybe I should have got a 17A1270 from the sounds of your book. Steve

    Komatsu pc 220-5 fan belt

Hey all, I broke a fan belt on our old PC 220-5 yesterday, needless to say in 42C heat she didnt stay happy for very long after that. I dont think any damage has been done but I dont know the number of the belt. Before I start the sometimes painful struggle with Komatsu parts, I was wondering if...

track roller bolts breaking inside track rails on PC 220-5 excavator

I have just about finished sorting this problem out and its been a steep learning curve, I have had to use every one of the few tricks I knew and a lot that I found off websites like this and some other industry type sites to get all the (about 20) bloody broken off bolts out. The last couple I...

Komatsu PC 220-5 Low tracking/walking power

yeah this one does smoke a bit, but the oil hasnt moved on the dipstick in 80hrs, maybe its in the injectors? not sure, but not too concerned. The air con in this one also wasnt working because of a dodgy earth. It probably needs gassing to but still blows cold air most of the time. The tracks...

Komatsu PC 220-5 Low tracking/walking power

Well now I know where the other one went! I got the second of the choice of two you were talking about. I got a trench bucket a GP bucket and also a batter bucket, and a heap of scrap steel that I built a fixed thumb out of. He certainly is a happy bloke isnt he. On ours when in high speed, one...

Komatsu PC 220-5 Low tracking/walking power

d4dozer, I have been following this thread with interest for a couple of reasons, firstly cause you're in WA like me and also more importantly you've bought an old PC220-5 as well. When I got ours I didnt have a whole lot of luck with Komatsu in Perth either but when I contacted the Komatsu guys...
