    Moving wood with a 580SE

Thanks for everyone's input, I do appreciate it. Unfortunately fixing the truck was not an option as I had to get the wood moved within a few days. I ended up building an extension for the FEL bucket. I'll try to attach a picture. I only have fir around here so that should only be about 31...

    Moving wood with a 580SE

Hello everyone, So I have a lot of split firewood that i will need to move around in the next little bit. The truck broke down and its way too much for the quad so the backhoe is the only option left. I can either build an extension for the FEL bucket of some sort or use a trailer. It would...

Case 580 CK B dipper cylinder parts difficulty

Usually a hydraulic shop should be able to get you the seals you need. Not in a seal kit, but rather measure the piston and find what specific seals you need.

580 se cold power Shuttle/TC Fluid Check

Hey Does anyone know if it is possible to check the power shuttle and torque converter fluid while cold? I started a thread a while back about this machine going slow on a hill. The solution was to add some hydTran ultra as it was low and I think it is a bit low again but being that this machine...

    Hard to engage 4x4

Hello all, I am having trouble with engaging the 4x4 on a case 580se. I have recently replaced the gear oil in the transfer case which did not help the issue. The only way to engage it is to lean down and apply gentle pressure onto the shift lever to feel for when it can engage. I need to...

    580 b ck

First thing i'd do is check all the fluids. Here's the manuals for the 580 b if you don't already have them: http://www.minnpar.com/manuals5.asp?FName=BACKHOE%20MANUALS&SFName=CASE%20%28CNH%29%20BACKHOE%20MANUALS&SSFName=CASE%20580%20SERIES%20PARTS%20MANUALS&SSSFName=CASE%20580B

PS: Sometimes the open end of a wrench (doesn't necessarily have to be the size of the bolt) can work to get stripped bolts out. It has worked for me in the past, anyway.

Case 580CK injectors, PS filter, fuel tank cleaning methods, and injector pump linkage

If you don't have a concrete mixer, I saw a video where guy jacked up one side of his tractor and tied the tank to the rim/tire. He put it in gear and let it idle for awhile. Its even easier for you since you have the stabilizers and don't need a bunch of jacks to lift up the machine.

    What is this for

Maybe it was used as a kind of connector to hold something to the wheel?
