what is the best tracked skid steer?

I use a Bobcat T770 to groom our local MX track. We finally got a small 450 Dozer this spring which will help out greatly for the ripping process (even if it is slower than the T770). I used a number of attachments: 6-Way dozer blade, rippers, soil conditioner and bucket. I wouldn't want...

Got a new 9" auger today, how much do you charge for drilling post holes?

I have 4,6,9,12,17 and 24" augers and I charge by the hour. Lots of local guys charge by the hole ranging from $50-85/hole. I have done upto 40+ holes in one hour (4" at 3' depth) and yesterday I did a 12" hole 5' deep that took 1 1/2 hours with lots of picking of rocks out and hand work to...

Tracked Skid Steers.... Which one is the best all around...

Bobcat has the option of solid or suspension undercarriage. They are very different in feel, ride, lifting capacity and how the machine will finish grade. Take a machine for a test drive. Then take another one, but most importantly, make sure that what ever color you buy you can get good...

    Skid Suggestions

I have a Bobcat T770 that gets used for plowing in the winter and landscaping in the summer. I have the standard solid undercarriage for grading better. In the winter I run the multi-bar Bobcat tracks, because they make a HUGE difference. I use a 10' snow push with ease with the multi- bar...

What kind of rake bucket should I get

I have a root grapple from bobcat that I use with my T770 works great with trees, roots and rocks.. not so good with firewood as it falls through the big gaps. http://www.bobcat.com/attachments/grapple_root

    dig out stumps?

I use the tree scope with a T770 Bobcat. Works awesome. I follow up with a root grapple then blade with bucket to grade. Largest stump was just under 36" was more than I could carry, but was able to drag it out with the grapple over to a burn pile. :)

    New to CTL`s,Have questions

I have a Bobcat T770 with 2 speed and High flow Hyd. I use the 2 speed almost constantly in the winter while plowing. While working dirt, mulching, brush mowing not so much. Use snail mode for dozer and trencher. I use the high flow for mulcher, trencher and soil conditioner. Vibratory...

    72" vibratory roller

Packer mod complete Well, I finished the 4 bar mod for my packer. It took me a little over 3 hours from start to finish with a few minor adjustments needed. That is a 3 hour savings over using the blocks that Bobcat provides. Here is a picture of the last bar going in. With the help of...

Tak tl12 vs t870/t770 for farm use

I haven't found going up hill an issue. Obviously if it is icy or slick, you might loose traction, but that would happen on most machines. I have on occasion(hitting a bump) pitched back a bit while going up steep slopes. Worse time is when going on or off trailer. I drive on forward so I...

Tak tl12 vs t870/t770 for farm use

I have a T770 with a mulcher and brush mower. It is amazing what it can do with slopes. Did some fence line work a couple of years back and it didn't struggle with it. Any of the really steep stuff (30 degrees estimated) I was able to work from the top down. Only thing that got me nervous...

    Excavator mounted Wood Splitter

My neighbor has an old limber attachment for his excavator. He made a few adjustments to it, so it cuts and splits the logs as well as limbing/peeling them. Works great for logs over 6" diameter. Watched him on full length spruce trees. Was crazy fast. :) Will try to get a picture if I...

    72" vibratory roller

Update for the Bobcat Vibratory packer. I spoke with a Bobcat mechanic. He mentioned that in the past they packer plates were attached with bars that went from one side to the other, not the little blocks. They no longer sell these even for the older models. They only sell the little blocks...
