Adding hydraulic winch to a Komatsu D20S Track Loader

Won't help me but other members may want a look . There will be issues matching flow and pressure for the winch that can be managed by a relief valve . Operating both simultaneous could well affect performance of both . What you are going to do has been done and it works well . Fella next door...

Adding hydraulic winch to a Komatsu D20S Track Loader

One of my neighbors has a hydraulic winch on a D21 dozer . Its hooked up via a diverter valve , only problem is he has to dismount the dozer to change the diverter valve over as its under one of the side panel covers . I'm sure it could have a remote cable to fix the dismounting problem . I'm...

    D-31 trans problems

I would go with that . It appears that one end is bigger than the other in the picture of the screen viewed by clicking on the screen part number then scrolling down on the next page .

    WW2 ARMOURED CATERPILLAR DOZERS (D7A)

Bad mistake for Caterpillar to return to cable blades once hydraulics were developed costing operators fingers and worse what will be for over a hundred years of disfigurement , New model D7E's will be long buried before the last D7 3T will stop running .4T with her tin heads ready to roll ...

    Caterpillar D7 3T

Good trick , do you still have the condenser in there ? . More wires in that photo than on a dozen T3's or the T4 I recently sold for a guy .

    Another gland nut thread

Heat the ram around the gland and use your pipe wrench . Push in the rod so its well away from the heat

    UPDATE on D7E Issues.

That electrical junction probably has something to do with the conversion to direct electric start . Tilt for the blade is done with a ram fitted from the push arm to the top turnbuckle connection . Usually fitted to straight blades , like the one in the following photo . I have seen them on...

    UPDATE on D7E Issues.

The one I had there was a pedal for my left boot to operate tilt . You may find there are all the valves needed to operate tilt under the panels disconnected . There is a cut slot in the panel shown in your picture that looks like the place

    Cat D7D Non-Running Project

Plenty of old guys would pounce on that to operate it for a few hours a day . This one may suit the younger set to with the direct electric start rather spoilt . I never felt operating old dozers in the arms , as for the knees on my D4's , thats a different story .

    Cat D7D Non-Running Project

Theses are some of the comments about a D7 I just sold . There are many more , mostly positive . The laugh is on the first guy as it sold for the 10k. Bulletpruf's project is a runner . There are plenty of late model dozers where the risk is unknown in the final drives , motor and transmission...

    Cat D7D Non-Running Project

If the final drives , transmission or motor were smashed it would be a major issue . The hydraulics would more than likely have worked last time it was running . Worn out tracks don't make for a wrecked tractor .

    Cat D7D Non-Running Project

I could sell that dozer NZ$10,000 in this market , maybe more in a couple of weeks , at most . Its a runner with some minor issues . Collectors would chase it . I've just sold 1 dozer , 1 977 loader and two Priestman drag line things in a few hours . All under threat of the scrap metal man ...
