Go demo a Cat, the joystick placement is nice unless you're very large. IIRC, bobcats lap bar doesn't move with the seat, which would get annoying. There's a number of dealers that will do on farm demos around here, just not the big BC one.

tier 4 doosan engines in bobcat

Cat offers a pattern changer for their controls, it's an additional option. If you don't want they switch, the dealer can set the controls to the pattern you prefer. You do have to hit the switch every time you start it, but it's not a big deal at all since it's right by the park and key. Our...

    Well designed skid steer forks?

I don't love any of them, except for the heavy ones on our wheel loader lol. Only ones that aren't bent. We have mostly virnig forks and one cat set. One virnig I put 6200# tines on, they still ended up twisted. The Cat set is twisted the least but also the newest. I'm tempted to have a...

    Kubota SSL

Kubota doesn't have EH controls in their CTLs either, just pilot so no switch but I do believe they might configure them for either pattern, ISO is standard though

    Well designed skid steer forks?

Some OEMs have less rollback (Bobcat, Cat) than others (NH, Deere) and design their attachments accordingly. Some of the aftermarket companies will ask what machine you have so that they can get you an attachment with the proper rollback and attachment height. We have some forks from the NH...

Where /how to purchase a spare tire for my JCB 260 Wheeled Loader? SLIME FOR TIRES?

The black jack tools are nice, I use them but with Tech Flowseal inserts and Vulcanizing fluid. Get a carbide that's the right size for your repair plug, drill it out before plugging. I still only use them as a quick fix on non-essential tires, the rest get broken down for a proper repair.

New Holland L190 boom drifts down fast

You may want that in case you loose power and need to drop the boom. Repacking cylinders is one of the last steps for cylinder drift, people do it first all the time though. You could take the seals completely out of the cylinder and it will not drift down on its own. The rod end can't...

Where /how to purchase a spare tire for my JCB 260 Wheeled Loader? SLIME FOR TIRES?

You can measure the wheel yourself. 8 lugs on an 8" pattern with 6" pilot is very common on SSLs. You'll need to measure the offset as well. Then you should be able to find one somewhere. They aren't that expensive, the last one I got from Cat was maybe $90. I don't put sealant in any of...

    Bobcat and the Doosan Engines

The main issues with them have been all cold weather related.

I've ran some older Gehl/Mustang with pilots, I guess as haven't really found a true pilot machine that I don't like. EH on the other hand is a different story. Cat did bring back the 232D to compete with the S185/S570. Cost per hour on ours has been lower than 10, that's trading between...

Skid Steer Tires - what kind should I buy

If you go back to the Bibsteel you may want to try the HS, I've only used the AT, but the HS is supposed to be better for pavement, sounds like it may work better or be worth a shot.

True pilots are nicest IMO. If all you have us EH though, you kind of get used to it. I don't run our pilot machines much so when I do, they're actually too responsive since I'm used to the dead feeling of EH. I wouldn't trade the nice features of the EH machine though just for pilots. Some...

3.3 and 3.8 in the D/D2 series are Kubota engines. Regen is automatic, manual intervention is rarely needed

Were you running Bibsteel AT or HS?

Skid Steer Tires - what kind should I buy

Just replaced a set of Bibsteels that had 3,000hrs on them. Sent the casings out to get recapped. Deep wide tread, should work well. Won't know for awhile though, have to wait for some tires to wear down.
