    Older International truck

Thank you again to all. No help from International. I hammered a 3/8 drive 3" extension into it and took it out. Some day when I have time I will take a reamer to it and clean up the conners and the 3/8's will work just fine. After doing it, I think that's what a lot of people must have done...

    Older International truck

Thank you for the replies. I have a call into International to see if they still have that tool, If not I will rig up something. I do believe this plug is too tell you when the pumpkin has enough fluid, not a drain. DaveG

    Older International truck

I have an '87 international S1800. It started it's life as a Hydro truck out of Florida. I bought off someone that brought it to Maine and turned it into a dump. Trying to check rear end oil level. The upper filler hole is a standard 1/2 inch drive pipe thread type nipple (easy to take out) the...

Thanks Canadian digger, That's what I thought. New ones are not holding well in the cold. I think the rubber in between gets hard. DaveG

How to keep them on? I know that I should weld them on. I will when good weather comes around (I live in Maine)I usually weld them on at the beginning of the season. Right now the hoe is a half mile in the woods. Unsure which way to put the holding pins in. Does the tit go up or down. The pins...

You were right heymccall, it was a fuel filter. Stupid me, I took it to the dealer and they had it almost 3-wks. there computer system was down for 1.5 of those wks. When I took it in, a tech. ran it for an hour and stated that it had problems. So they sent out an oil analysis, took a wk before...

    Hydraulic Pumps

When I bought it 1.75 yrs. ago, I took it to this same dealer and had them change all filters and at least engine oil. That was about 300 hrs. ago. Everything seems to slow down when warmed up and the rpm's slow down. It's at the dealer now, waiting to hear. Just was surprise about the pump...

    Hydraulic Pumps

I have a 2004 Takeuchi TB175, a little over 4K hrs. Seems like the pump is going. When it warms up it Sloooows down. The dealer says the pump probably needs to be replaced. I took it in Monday (they can't evaluate it until Wednesday at the earliest). While i was unloading the hoe a mechanic...
