buy a loftness 61BSL mulcher for Kubota svl75-2

We want to purchase a mulcher for our Kubota SVL75-2 . We have seen youtube videos of a man in TN that has a SVL75-2 skidsteer and a Loftness BSL61 mulcher. The thing that concerns me is that the SLV75-2 skidsteer is a high flow machine, but the 61 BSL mulcher is a low flow attachment. What...

Best equipment for leveling paths after tornado timbering?

We have a JD135D excavator, a pretty big Ford Back hoe and a skidsteer and a couple tractors. We have ordered another skidsteer with high flow so that I can get a mulcher. I will look into the bobcat grading attachment mentioned above. We do not have hills. Flatwoods is normally flat as a...

Best equipment for leveling paths after tornado timbering?

When you have hundreds of acres of root balls and holes you cant bring in that amount of dirt. Originally we were hauling off the stumps but them we have to bring it dirt. Given the thousands of rootballs, burying the stumps is the most practical thing to do.

Advantages / disadvantages of enclosed cab skid steer?

Thanks everyone. I appreciated the good discussion and scary stories. I wonder if an enclosed Kubota is considered safer given it opens from the top rather than from the side? Now I gotta google "Forestry Glass" Thanks again.

Advantages / disadvantages of enclosed cab skid steer?

AC and heat are obvious advantages of an enclosed cab skid steer. ( EROPS ) But are there truly other advantages? Are they safer? Would the glass protect you from a limb? Breathing? Would you still need to wear a respirator dust mask? What are the disadvantages? Thanks for any...

Flat face quick connect won't release

Paw removed the coupler completely . He has the male and female completely off and he still can get them separated. He assumes the balls aren’t opening up to allow the male to come out The male is stuck. He unscrewed the male from the cutter and unscrewed the female from the cutter. That is a...

Most effective trenching method for weekend job?

We are near Rainbow City. Lots of clay! We tried to rent a bobcat attachment and none were to be had. (not even in Bham) The cost of a new one is well over 5k.
