The JLG 40F Boom Lift Dilemma

The cylinder that lifts the main boom is leaking bad. Time for a rebuild. All hoses and top pin are removed. The bottom pin is not cooperating, got it to move about an inch and it stopped. Wow, so close and so far away. Is there something I am missing here?

What do you suggest coating the threads with to help seal the connections?

The JLG 40F Boom Lift Dilemma

Basket level are the hoses i need. My basket does not rotate (wish it did). Surprised they are NPT. The hydraulics must be lower pressure than I think. *Basket level hoses are both #6 (3/8), two wire braid, with #6 (3/8)male NPT ends. One hose is 468 inches long, the other is 456 inches long.*...

The JLG 40F Boom Lift Dilemma

Hi OFF. I think there are only two hoses going to basket (sorry, I said bucket earlier). These only control the tilt of the basket.

The JLG 40F Boom Lift Dilemma

40F....One of the (very old and decayed) hoses for the bucket busted...so I need new hoses. What are the specs that need to be met? The information I need to provide...whether ordered online or having them made locally? I prefer to have the hoses before I finish disassembling.

New Holland LX665 replaced seat...will not start in run

I have installed new safety harness and new seat switches. The cluster does not light up. The alarm when i turn the key isn't helping . I am now curious of how to turn the alarm off. I have installed new CHN parts, but still at the point of the first post here. New seat, new harness, new...

New Holland LX665 replaced seat...will not start in run

Am i too light weight to activate the seat switches (hard to imagine). I purchased new switches because the others were original (24 years old). I am wrestling with the cost of a new harness vs the time and cost of adding toggle switches.

New Holland LX665 replaced seat...will not start in run

I operated my LX665 with a badly damaged seat for years. This summer, I up and decided to install a new seat. (I regret it.) The safety harness end broke off (at one on the seats two safety switches) so I attached a wire for the switch. In run , the alarm is constant and engine will not crank...

Thanks OFF. I presume it is self regulating in the 1 to 4 psi range.
