Case 580ck generator to alternator mounting

I thought that alternator I got from Autozone (dl7127m) was a one wire Delco. Would you happen to know a part number that I can give to Autozone, O'Reilly, or Napa to cross reference?

Case 580ck generator to alternator mounting

Thank for the tip, but re-clocking alternator doesn't seem like it will help. The alternator hits the intake manifold and loader arm before it can even get far back enough to go under the top bracket. Does anyone have any pics on how they mounted theirs up?

Case 580ck generator to alternator mounting

I read several threads on people converting the old generators to Delco 10SI alternators. The discussion usually involves the wiring aspect, but I'm having trouble with the mounting part. I got a universal mounting bracket and had to cut off a portion of the lower bracket due to interference...

Roosamaster injection pump rebuild or reman

Earlier, I removed the 90* elbow connector and there was no ball inside. I looked at the the pump and there was no ball either. I'll try checking again and starting it and will post some photos. it might be a while because I'm a bit tied up and also rain is in the forecast. The tractor is...

Roosamaster injection pump rebuild or reman

I forgot to mention that I looked at and cleaned the inlet screen. I also looked for but wasn't able to find the check valve. Looks like the previous owner already removed it. The engine still just turns over but doesn't catch.

Roosamaster injection pump rebuild or reman

My 580CK turns over but doesn't start. I can get it to start on ether but then it dies from lack of fuel. The tank is full, water drained, filters replaced and bled. I have tried loosening the lines at the injectors, but no diesel sprays out - just a little fuel dribbles out. I also tried...

Case 580CK injectors, PS filter, fuel tank cleaning methods, and injector pump linkage

Thanks for all the responses. I got the injectors out easily with a slide hammer setup from harbor freight. I'm waiting for the replacements to come in. Thanks for the tip about the rubber grommets. Meantime, I'll get the PS filter changed out and I might tackle the crud in the tank...or I...

Case 580CK injectors, PS filter, fuel tank cleaning methods, and injector pump linkage

Well, I was kind of wary about the spring since it has been jury-rigged on. The previous owner just looped it over the throttle and twisted it around the vent tube. So, aside from draining the tank and taking it off, there's no way to siphon the junk from the tank? It looks to be a pain to...

Case 580CK injectors, PS filter, fuel tank cleaning methods, and injector pump linkage

Hi guys, I have some random questions pertaining to a backhoe I'm trying to resurrect. I'm in the process of replacing the injectors on a Case 580CK serial number 8350809. The part book shows three injectors, A37836, A51234, and A140829. Which part number do I go with and any particular...

    580ck steering cylinder fitting size

No, I'm not having the hoses made. For the sake of saving time, money, and simplicity, Im just replacing all my hoses with new ones that the local TSC store stocks. The hose ends are mostly 1/2" mnpt and the adapters to go to flare/jic, o-ring, or pipe are pretty common. I've gotten pretty much...

    580ck steering cylinder fitting size

Anyone know the size of the fittings for the hoses on the steering cylinders? They are smaller than 3/8 (-6) jic, but larger than 1/4 (-4) jic, and also slightly larger than 5/16 (-5).

    580ck backhoe control hoses replacement

Thanks for the laugh. I can really use it when working on this machine. Well, the dirty deed has already been done and all the hoses removed. For those that are still interested/curious - the first pic shows the tight clearance and the four hoses passing through the front of the swing tower...

    580ck backhoe control hoses replacement

Yes, I am aware that the lines are in danger of being pinched and will be cognizant when I route them. The original hoses don't seem any better off as they have been worn at the opening in the swing tower. I have tried to remove the manifold, but the bolt head is very difficult to get to with...

    580ck backhoe control hoses replacement

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried them and other ideas too with no luck. I think I'm just going to keep things simple and do away with the hard pipes. Looks like they are there to allow the hoses to make the turns without kinking. I will undo the hard pipes right at the control valves...

    580ck backhoe control hoses replacement

The hose ends at the valves look manageable, but I'm looking at the other ends (circled in red in the photo) and I can't see how I could get a chisel, wrench, or grinder close enough to get to the fittings. The hole is just big enough for the four hoses to pass through and then maybe an inch...
