    JLG 60G steering hydraulics question

Hi guys, just started to have a problem with the steering on my jlg60g. It will only turn left and the only way I can get it to turn right is to disconnect one of the hoses leading to it. Would this be an internal issue with the cylinder itself? Both hoses seem to have lots of pressure when...

    JD 310d starting issue

The problem did not start with the filter change, no real trigger that I can figure out. I could understand something like fuel leaking back to the tank but why would it only happen some of the time. Sometimes it can sit for a month and start right up other times it won't start after sitting a...

    JD 310d starting issue

Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my 97 310d that is really starting to p**s me off. It is yard machine that only gets used occasionally but has been reliable for the year that I have had it but now it won't start about half the time. Some times it will start right away and run like a dream...

    JLG 60GR boom lift

My machine has definetly had someone change things around over the years. I have 2 small non air heated vaporizers that have exhaust piped into them to heat them.

    JLG 60GR boom lift

After using the lift today I checked the propane unit and found it to be quite cold to the touch so I suppose it could have been freezing up after running for extended intervals. I would have never believed that anything could be cold in an engine compartment where everything else is too hot to...

    JLG 60GR boom lift

Ya, my high drive switch is working. I find that if I can't drive through a dip while in low drive I can sometimes put it in high and make it through with a little momentum behind me. Do you know if the air cooled engine is prone to overheating. I used the lift to load plywood on my shop roof...

    JLG 60GR boom lift

Thanks OFF. I appreciate your help. I disconnected the 2 mercury switches today and the machine worked great. Would the second switch be hooked to the drive system? With the switches disconnected the machine actually had some torque and would move around the property quite well while with the...

    JLG 60GR boom lift

The engine is a VG4D Wisconsin. It has a solenoid with a beaded chain leading to the linkage. I have been trying to find manuals for this machine but it seems that the 60g is a very rare machine.

    JLG 60GR boom lift

My machine has a 4 cylinder Wisconsin engine that runs on gas and propane. It has only been run on propane for at least 20 years. It seems to run really smooth until the boom trips the horizontal limit switch and then it just bogs right down. Thanx for helping out.

    JLG 60GR boom lift

Okay, so I got a little frustrated with my lift and decided to do it the old fashioned way and use scaffolding. Soon after I built the scaffold I proceeded to fall off and break my heel. Now that I am able to limp around a bit I would really like to get this machine running properly. As per...

    410C Hydraulic Filter Removal

If it is a spin on filter like mine is, hammer a large screwdriver or prybar through the side of the housing and use it as leverage to spin the filter off. Works every time. You might want to punch a hole in the bottom of the filter first and drain it to keep things cleaner. good luck

    JLG 60GR boom lift

I've just recently bought a JLG 6o GR boom lift that has seen little use and always has been stored indoors. It appears to be in excellent shape and everything works except for a couple problems that I have encountered. One issue is that when the boom goes above horizontal the engine will drop...

The JLG 40F Boom Lift Dilemma

Thanx for the welcome OFF. I'm from B.C. I see you are in Alberta. I have relatives in Leduc, Calgary and Westlock. My machine has an air cooled Wisconsin. VG4D? It's an 81 that was always stored indoors and used very little. It has a few issues with it that I'm hoping will be minor "lack of...
