Hitachi EX120-2 swing motor with hydraulic fluid

HEF - Have a Hitachi EX120-2, with what appears to be hydraulic fluid getting into swing gear oil. Is it possible it could be water? I checked the oil prior and was clean etc. about two weeks ago. I hit a tree pretty hard while swinging which I think may have caused some sort of damage, as now...

Hitachi EX120-2 tack adjuster leaking on zerk fitting side

Ahh yes, if I mistyped above, I am referring to that 01 where the nut screws onto it. I put in a new fitting, and its not leaking at the zerk, its leaking about 1/4" out from it on the joint described below. It's leaking at the joint I guess where the nut 06 screws onto 01, if that makes sense...

Hitachi EX120-2 tack adjuster leaking on zerk fitting side

This labeled as 06 is the "Nut" that can be removed and purchased to keep grease in? Would this not let spring loose? So I may need to put in a vice or a way to keep spring from uncoiling etc.

Hitachi EX120-2 tack adjuster leaking on zerk fitting side

ok, so it’s removable and reparable. I will check this out, I didn’t see maybe that call out in the parts manual. Must have overlooked that on the zerk fitting side

Hitachi EX120-2 tack adjuster leaking on zerk fitting side

Ok, so it may be reparable to take apart? Or I can just weld that part to get by for a bit until replacement arrives. I don’t see any danger in that, unless someone may think so

Hitachi EX120-2 tack adjuster leaking on zerk fitting side

Hi all, have a track adjuster that starts leaking as soon as I put grease in on the zerk fitting side right under the fitting, not from the normal front end with seals. Is this a crack I can simply weld, or some sort of adjustment?

    Hitachi Ex120-2 ignition switch HOT(temperature )

HEF - Have an EX120-2, just noticed the ignition switch where key goes in gets real hot, if you touch the silver metal area it will almost burn your hand. Anyone have this problem? Guess it’s just a new ignition switch to fix problem?

    Hitachi EX120-2 Main Pump?

Also, that pilot second pressure t’s back into the 4th line on that block. That’s different than from the tech manual.

    Hitachi EX120-2 Main Pump?

@mg2361 - Thanks. I see in the tech manual you need a fitting and T, I only have hydraulic gauges and the fitting, so will need to find a T. How may I do a pump flow test?

    Hitachi EX120-2 Main Pump?

@Jason Klassen and @mg2361, @LACHAU ?? Yes all tests where in P mode. I am not sure where the pilot pressure reducing valve location is to test. Any diagrams? So these tests don’t lend to a main pump needing a rebuild? I thought pump pressure was to be at 4200psi?
