    David I think that you will be fine with the 290. We dig 24'' oaks out with our 200 all day long. A 350 would be awesome but a little overkill.

    Check pilot circuit pressure. Filter restriction light on? Fluid level. May be main pump pressure low? I would start with the filters. If that doesnt help check to make sure that the swash plate angle on the main pump is changing as you push the buttons in the cab for your dig settings. May be...

    Final Drive Issue

    Final drive is building pressure with hydraulic oil. Duo cone seals on propel motor or o rings in brakes? or both? Can you cap off the brake hose and see if the fluid stops? How hard is it to change either on 690ELC.
