    Good to hear. Thanks.

Yes, I found that one and really considered it. However, it is .250" thick and the old one on my machine is .375". I just didn't want to go down in thickness and this .375" one from Racing Shields was just about $37.00 higher than Safe Harbor's .250" version.

Well, fudge. I got busy and let this door thing go for several months. Now I need to use my loader quite a bit and I just don't think that I'm going to waste any more time or money on polishing. I've tried several polishes and methods and can't tell much of a difference. I'm going to just bite...

Have you checked for a directional valve in your hydro circuits?

    Cat 299d2 crank no start

I have a 2012 279C2 so I'm not sure it is close enough to compare but a few months ago, I used it one day, the next day it flat would not start. I checked fuel pump, filters, primer pump, fuel shutoff solenoid, everything I could think of. Long story short, there is a switch on the back end of...

Thought about that. I have a buffer attachment on my cordless drill that I tried today. May look for a dedicated automotive polisher.

Well, I got the Novus 3 part kit in. I tried it out on the door according to the directions. I applied the #3 twice and the #2 twice and the#1 once and I guess it might have made it a little clearer but not much of an "Oh wow!" moment. The sun damage and scratches would probably eventually clear...

I've watched several videos of different polish products and decided to order the Novus Kit. When it comes in and I get around to trying it out I will try to remember to post the results. Thanks to everyone for their responses.

258-4071 is the tempered glass door, 258-4071-14PC is the polycarbonate door.

    Polycarbonate Door

I've seen a couple of videos using this stuff. For $15 it's worth a try before I buy another door. Thanks.

Thanks, I'll see what they have.

Yeah, only $700. The tempered glass option is about 1/2 the cost but raking, pushing, grapple hauling and piling the mesquite I am clearing in my pasture could take out the glass pretty quick.

    Polycarbonate Door

The polycarbonate door on my Cat 279C2 is so opaque from sun exposure over the years, I can barely see through it. When working toward the sun, I can't see anything through most of the door. Has anyone used one of the restoration polishes or compounds that actually work to clear the "frosting"...

    Caterpillar 304C CR Throttle

S/N FPK03735 I recently discovered that the throttle dial on my mini has a little travel past the highest dial setting mark. In the past, I had just set the throttle to the graduated marks. The other day, I just reached down and spun it up without looking to see where it was set assuming it only...
