3 axle gooseneck or 2 axle duals?

This one is in springfield for just under $9,000. Looks like big welded on stake pockets, maybe make some sideboards to stack up the scrap iron? I wouldn't have a single tire triple axle, especially not a homebuilt, and definitely not one that was on trailer house axles. I still remember...

    Memories for us old truckers

One of my guys does more of the trucking now than what I do (and what we do, you really can't call trucking- we deliver equipment once or twice a week). He doesn't like our pete 379 (1992-3406b daycab), and likes our western star 4694 (kelowna built 1998 12.7 daycab). He's all for selling...

It was a big pain in the .... I was going to turn the trailer on its side to do the L plate and dump it upside-down to do the curved piece. But I just burned it in like it was. I decided it was just too much screwing around to position it.

    Overload of the Day

I'm going to break the rules again- this one's offroad! The guy waving to speed up is a hoot- 2-300,000lbs and we're going to start grabbing gears and drag that goldhofer over the ridge and keep it from jacknifing. Sure. But the best is the guy in the back truck who bails when it starts...

    Torque Multiplier Reaction Arm

Ha- you must have been posting while I was looking for a picture. The way some of those shears are mounted (so they hang vertical in use), I could see it being tough to get to the ground. Maybe set the shear down beside the top of a dozer blade or heavy loader bucket? A hytorc isn't...

This is what the lmi looks like in the link belt 90 ton. Its a whole lot more user friendly than the liebherr system. Its been raining here, got the flood gates open on the dam again, they were shut for around a week and now they are back running. Going to have to deal with this tree next...

Condo building- each "apartment" has its own A/C unit. We put all the new ones up, the techs will spend a couple weeks changing them one at a time, and then we'll come back and take the old ones back down. My operator said they put 68 units on the roof.

Tag for the 90 is almost done. This was before we got the air and lights done. Its all painted now, and we just have to put new air bags in it. Had to put some new shoes on the old winch truck. We've been using it for counterweight for the liebherr all the time, because the other truck has...

Water going in the rock under the road, and the whole area wanted to slide down the hill. Painters working up the hill had gone in at 8, we were there at 10 and it wasn't driveable any more. You could see the gaps opening in the road as we were standing there. It had dropped around a foot to...

Trusses. The delivery truck was a little hard on the bottom ones.

I wouldn't care for doing any big head sections with a current 40 ton truck crane or boom truck jib. My link belt 8640 has a two piece lattice swing away, and it would be the strongest jib I have in that size. That or a tms300. Really to match up a old tms 300 in a current crane- your looking...
