    Thanks for your help I have checked all wires and connections and all seem fine, I think I have it narrowed down to either pump control solenoids , pump controller as this switches solenoids on and off or the pump position sensor, there is 3 wires on this, a 5v feed , ground and the signal wire...

    You could just buy an electric diverter valve and patch into a line from another function, I have done it a few times. It is relatively cheap and works ok.

    id say hitachi ex60-2,3,5, is hard to beat , the company i work for as plant fitter have a komatsu pc78 and its performance is miserable, only has a single pump and it cannot do 2 movements together and was no better even when brand new!
