    Who builds the Case dozers?

I’ve owned multiple Case 2050Ms and those machines struggled with electrical and track problems. I hope you do better.

    48x48 LeTourneau Towed Sheepfoot

I purchased a 48x48 LeTourneau pulled sheep foot that is excellent shape. How much horse power for a tractor or dozer do I need. And what is the efficiency comparison with a Cat 815F? This will be used in high plastic clays for site work.

    New push cat

We have pushed Cat 621Bs with Cat D6Ts or Deere 850Ks against D8K. 45 seconds with the first 35 second loads with the later. I’ve pushed with D7Gs but don’t have any data to share.

    New Purchases - 631D and Ex-Mil 621B

We are using the tough seat too; high model 5052 in 24V. They work fine if they are used properly. Make sure you take the data plates off your old seats and put them on the new seats.

    New Purchases - 631D and Ex-Mil 621B

Those military 621Bs are bullet proof after about 500 hours of working out the issues of old hoses. Most don’t have many hours and were started monthly when they were in Army/Reserve/NG units. RedDot makes an AC unit for it but you will have to create an adapter plate for it and weld it to the...

What do y’all use to fill your water truck?

Queenslander; we use a very similar set up with 2 Honda 4” pumps and this home made towable tower. Allows us to pick up around 700 gallons per min from ponds.

    Earthmoving Job, Deere Pull pans?

The cheapest means to move earth is running 3 Deere 21-24 yard pans behind a 550-620 hp tractor, but this is a very specific haul. You have to look at the following factors; capital availability, strategy, soil conditions, target clients, and your maintenance acumen. My recommendation is to...

    Wabco scrapers at work

All of you LeTourneau and Wabco fans need to read this book. Wonderful story about the man who invented the scraper and the bull dozer.

    Scraper Side Boards

The sideboards have been quite effective and we haven’t experienced any increases in maintenance or damages to hitches...yet. Load times have increased by 5 seconds which is worth the effort. We are increasing our push machines with D8’s to increase velocity. Side boards have been a good...

    John deere 950j dozer

LT: Please keep us posted on the status of your 950J. I’m curious of its performance.

    Wirtgen WS 250

Has anyone tried a Wirtgen WS250? This is a tractor mounted reclaimer that runs off the PTO.

    Best Pusher Dozers

We just added this D8K to the team to push scrapers; can’t wait to put it in the field.

    Case 2050M

I disagree with comparing the 2050M to the Cat 6N instead of the CatD6T. The 2050M has plenty of power and will can stay with Deere’s 850K and challenge Cat’s D6T but not beat it. But, I do agree there is a power to weight problem on the 2050M and if you don’t get rippers to increase the machine...

815 vs Sheepsfoot vs impact roller

Which is the most effective compaction system for placing large amounts of PI clays per day with scrapers: Cat 815F/Ks, towed weighted sheep feet behind tractors, or impact rollers behind a tractor?

    Dozer purchasing suggestions

Buy the Deere machine with less hours. We own both 850ks and D6Ts and both are fine machines. As Nige stated parts and service are paramount and you will need good access to keep your machine making you money. Good luck.
