Disposal: Late model CAT machines...Best Options?

What iron are you selling, brand, hours, condition and how long have you owned it? Did you take advantage of bonus depreciation the first year? Are you worried about recapture? There are a lot of factors that will be different for each company.

    Cat CS 533E wheels

Thanks hvy. I'm not familiar with beet juice. Guessing that's something you guys use in the big tractors? Whatever is in there is what Cat put in at the factory. Have to admit I am not that well versed with larger tires and liquid ballast. The tires on our 533 have lasted 20 years with...

CAT 313 Next gen Tilt bucket sensor?

Since the machine is new I would ask my PSR or Cat salesman. Is the Leica system new or used?

Order assembled chains and pads or transfer? Ec140blc

Add me to the not so happy with ITR rails either. Replaced the rails a few years ago on our 321DL and probably put less than 1500 - 2000 hrs on it since then and there are 2 segments on the track link on the left side where the bushings are wallowed out. Looks just like maters video above.

    Cat CS 533E wheels

2004 Cat CS 533E ASL 169 I need to find 2 rear wheels. The wheels on it are original with the original tires and both are need of replacement. The tires are obviously well past service life but still hold air but are leaking the water ballast. Over the years the water ballast has...

Suggestions for first heavy equipment purchase

As others have suggested purchase the property/home first, get moved in then determine what you want to accomplish. Your wants/needs for the property may change once you get moved in and that can affect what type of equipment you purchase or rent. Moving across the country and purchasing a...

Prepping a house site and building a house

Awesome progress! Wife and I have been debating a dog wash in the laundry room and was leaning towards deleting it until this weekend talking with family that said we should include it since it will handy for all sorts of things like washing muddy boots, hanging wet clothes, etc in addition...

A few projects I have done recently

We don't have that problem very often. Usually if a loaded tri is pumping the fill the compaction is off or the subgrade materials are soft. Any material that pumps under a loaded tri is undercut and replaced with structural fill. Standard spec here in most geo-reports. A good structural...

Looking at dump trucks again, single axle vs tandem

That is a nice, well taken care of 321B. When were the B's produced late '90's into early 2000's? I bought a new 315CL in 2004 and it was a C model.

how to check dubious jobsite soil for dump truck

The customer is not always right and sometimes you have to tell them no. The common person has no clue as to weight, ground conditions, traction etc - that's on you as the professional and that means telling a customer that where they want the material dumped is just not going to happen...

A few projects I have done recently

Same way. We hire out the model building and they send us a VCL file that we'll load up in the data collector, localize the site then load on the machine. We are kicking around the idea of getting a TBC subscription but we don't do much design build work. 99% of what we do has design...

A few projects I have done recently

As we are filling an area we always like to get the loaded trucks up on the fill lift not only to help with compaction but perform an unofficial proof roll each time. This will tell us how the fill is really being compacted as the nuke box can lie from time to time with bad data. A loaded...
