    Kubota KX161-2 Boom Rebushing

Great question; but IMO one that a needs to be addressed to someone who can be there to see the excavator, measure the amount of wear, consider the alternatives...bore and sleeve or filler weld and reborn to the original ID... then make his best judgment on what he finds and how he is equipped...

    Kubota KX161-2 Boom Rebushing

    Yes, no bushing there.

    Kubota KX161-2 Boom Rebushing

Bolt 020 holds the pin stationary wrt the boom BOSS. The bushings 060 are fitted in the arm as shown in the drawing. So, the pin is fixed, bolted through the boss, in the boom. Is it the boss which I believe you call 'bushing' that is wearing?

Related bushing is number 060 in the arm. Pin is bolted so not rotating in the boom.

Cat Next Gen 305 Engine Vibration

I 2016 I demoed a 305 for a week. It had 260 hours on the display. The cab vibrated noisily and at two different engine speeds the cab resonated with the engine, quite severely. That and other issues soured me on that unit. On the other hand, the 305 sold me on that size mini Excavator...

    Airman AX 20U

It would seem that if he wrapped only under the rod cap to stop or reduce the leak, then the pressures would push the string OUT of the cylinder, not in. If, on the other hand, he wrapped the rod piston inside the cylinder the string would end up in the system and eventually in the hydraulic...

Why no prices advertised on websites?

I was looking for a 4000 series Deere tractor here in the states some time ago and found a very low hour one equipped just the way I wanted. The sales guy was young, and in my opinion, oddly indifferent to building a warm relationship with me. He gave me a price, and indicated in so many...

Compact Tractor Rescue with Kubota U55-4 Excavator

Looking to the future, a wider path along the full length of the trail may be warranted. Also, trail water control (drainage) may likely be needed. Thanks for sharing your event...a thought provoking reminder of the risks of operating equipment.

    Graveyard Cats

What work will they do once repaired and running? What resources do you have to keep them running? Time? Money? Repair facility? Truck, trailer? Nearby dealer? Tools for this size equipment? Experienced mechanics? Good luck!

How to Determine Spool Orientation in Hydraulic Valve (Rebuilding Main Control Valve)

I would have thought that if the dealer did not have an adequate answer wrt valve orientation when rebuilding then they would get the needed info from the Cat service rep. The service rep might have to go to the design group for the info; but certainly the info can be provided...and I would...

Pros and Cons of Enclosed Cab v. Open Cab

I decided to go with an enclosed cab on my Bobcat E35. For this and smaller mini excavators, no cab may be more typically chosen in this area. For me, the weather protection and protection from dust were keys to the decision. In addition, if the mini is left out in the elements the operator's...

    Cat 304E Track Noise

I have had pea gravel do something similar when turning sharply on a Bobcat E35. Solution was to only make gradual turns so as to not scoop up the pea gravel on to the track.

Great video on the wire removal. Will a scrap yard take the wire?

code54, what brand and model is your mower? Thanks!

    Takeuchi TB035 or Bobcat X331 ??

Assuming the brand preference and dealer distance and support are comparable, I would go with low hours then least age...ihi 2010 w/ 1800 hrs fits. If you have a preference for one of the others...20+ years on them will keep you or your mechanic busy from time to time. 20 years and 4200 hours...
