    I usually put a jack under the machine,apply some tension, remove the bolts in the belly pan,lower it down on the jack and then pull the machine forward or back it up onto my cribbage. Might not be the best method but it has worked for me a good many times and it’s pretty simple.

    Back when that happened topless loaders were mostly like that in the early’70’s here. By the time I started operating in the late’80’s most all machines had ROPS but my Great Uncle had been gone a good while by then.

    In the instance that I was talking about a seat belt would only have made it worse as the machine was topless. That said, I actually survived a rollover about 20 years ago because I was buckled up.

    My Great Uncle slipped off the tail of his lowboy while unloading his 941 and rolled down a road bank and ended up pinned to the ground by the bumper on his abdomen. He lived for 21 days until gangrene took him. This was in 1975 when hospitals in our area were not state of the art.
