What was your process for clearing and grubbing? Did you mulch it all down, or clear it and haul it out or some alternative method? Seems like it would have been a lot to clear/grub.

    Greasing 15 x 36 jaw

I didn't look up your jaw but I know that on laminated seal jaw bearings you could start at 50 shots and work your way up or down depending on if you see grease coming out. Grease coming out isn't a bad thing, if too much comes out use less shots and vice versa. Generally the inside bearing uses...

    Compaction question

So if it is a 6" lift you need to test 4" deep. I'm not sure if the permit guy needs just one test or so many tests per square feet. Depending on how far away your lab is, I would dig a couple holes down to where the 3" minus starts to fill a sample bag and then drive it into the lab. It would...

    dozers

D6K wide pad, six way blade seems to work nice on smaller jobs as well but not too small you can't use it on anything else. You can pick some up for a fair price, obviously not what you can get a case for but each have their own benefits.

    Going to see the Sandman

Have you got pictures of the finished product outside your shop. Been waiting for a pic of the whole machine all done up nice.

Possibly something to do with air shut off for the oilfield? It's a slick looking grader, pretty clever with those reflector decals and I really like the accented red handrails they are very sharp.

    WAR.....what is it good for?

If your going slow I don't see it as an issue, and the difference is you had too turbo cause of what your moving with it, you didn't do it just cause the dust was bothering your vision.

    D9 R's pulling pans(pics)

That is a very nice outfit you guys are running, keep up the good work. More pictures would be nice too ;)

    WAR.....what is it good for?

Maybe, but atleast the risk of him rolling the machine wouldn't be an issue which is what i'm concerned about the most. Machine wasn't meant to be on its side ;)

    WAR.....what is it good for?

I'll put everything I own saying it is wrong to travel with your bucket in the air simply to be dust from coming up in front of the cab and for a better ride. I know thats not you, but no way is it right. I would be pretty growly if that was someone on my site. Nice pics though.

How big are the cones you run?

    Mobile crushing plants.

You get the right crew of people and working on the crusher can be fairly enjoyable, maybe a little repetitive at times. Beats office work though, some nice spreads in there jtl.

    Gravel Crushing

You'd need a fairly large area for all that equipment to fit I bet. First picture I seen 3 vans, one control tower, and possibly one more genset and a parts trailer? Doobie what is your tph making 3/4 down traffic gravel or a-base? Just curious.

    Grease

Good grease doesn't make a machine last a long time, good maintnance does though. Why would you spend 10$ or more per tube. Grease quality is based on its viscosity, so the stickier it is the more its worth. Unless your running a crusher, or something that has high speed bearings then you...
