Bobcat 753 "gushing" hydraulic fluid beneath seat on right hand side of machine.

Hey fellas, I felt the same way....that something of this magnitude would be very obvious with the cab raised. Did raise the cab, started the engine, and believe it or not, cannot find the leak...only a flood of fluid in the bottom right side (pan/ undercarriage?) of the machine. Any ideas...

Bobcat 753 "gushing" hydraulic fluid beneath seat on right hand side of machine.

Machine was running great, has approx 1800 hrs. All of the sudden a warning buzzer went off and hydraulic fluid was dumping from the underside of the machine. Refilled with fluid, cab up, started machine, no visible leaks but fluid is rapidly collecting on right hand side. Literally lost 3...

    1999 LULL 644D-34 Highlander

Bill and Joe, Project complete! I pressure washed the machine for a clean work environment (10 AM yesterday) and began the repair at 12PM. I was 100% complete (cleaning tools etc) by 6PM last night. Probably could have used a better method of removing the nut holding the piston on...but it...

    1999 LULL 644D-34 Highlander

Bill, I have couple of questions: 1. Did you remove the counterbalances valves at all (I am sure I can get the piston out with the hydraulics)? 2. It appears that once I remove the main pin, I can chock the cylinder up to allow for rod access/ clearance (asking this as I did not understand the...

    1999 LULL 644D-34 Highlander

Has anyone replaced the boom extend cylinder seals on one of these machines? I received an estimate that stated I must replace the counter balance valves as well. I know my valves are fine. The shop manager said they may not be able to reinsert the piston without removing one of the valves, and...

Joe, The local lift repair shop said that both valves must be replaced...I am sure it is mostly a liability concern as you stated. It holds position just fine. The cylinder actually started leaking (along with cylinders on other equipment) after that hard freeze last winter. The shop manager did...
