Crane operator, thank you very much for the response. I'm just now noticing it My plan at the moment is to postpone until after the election and see how the economy reacts, I'm currently running a few machines at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, but I'm a Midwesterner and I've always dreamt...

    Insurance

Let talk insurance. Still in the planning process of purchasing a 40t class truck crane and starting a taxi crane service in the midwest. I know insurance is a heavy expense in this business, can anyone give me a general idea of what I might be looking at for a single owner operator setup per...

My intention was to setup near or around Bloomington or TH so that I was within reach of southern Indy, but mainly serve Bloomington. I would like to set up in Fort Wayne, but Docs and Central are already pretty well established.

Crane Operator- Thanks for the input! I really don't want to over shoot in crane size like you said. My strategy with the 60T would actually be taking advantage of the fact that most one man shows are 40t cranes or smaller, so I could service the 40-60t market without charging the $200-250 rate...

    TMS640

Does anyone have any experience with the TMS640? Looking at purchasing, and wondered specifically how ya'll felt about the electric over hyrdo controls from the mid 90's. Also, how did it ride? Thanks!

Gunna jump in here, I know this thread hasn't seen much action but I'm in a similar boat. I'm 26, ran boom trucks and terex T340s for 2 years, then went to work at the Kennedy Space Center operating some larger GMKs. however, I'm looking at coming back in Indiana to start up a lifting service...
