    Cylinder rebuild 580 super k

Prepairing to repack several leaky cylinders. Should I just get the seals from case? I'm not the guy that shops for the lowest price, but rather the best product, figuring you get what you pay for. Thanks

    Backhoe bucket alteration

I have several buckets, and in 25 yrs, have not used this one. Willing to sacrifice. I have tried the chain on type blade etc... This is the standard case 580/590 3' BB. I think it makes the most sense, for me, to go ahead and remove the teeth only, and use the shanks as the mount, to...

    Backhoe bucket alteration

Hello, this is my first official thread. I enjoy many forums on this site. I have a 3' case bucket with typical weld on tooth mounts. I would like to take these mounts off to make it a straight blade. My ?? is, what is the best way to cut them off, while doing the least damage to the bucket?

    Digging Techniques?

The only thing a backhoe is designed to dig at an idle, is nothing. Good for very beginner. The way to gain the touch is at the rpm range the machine is designed for.

    Case 580 L problems

Why do you say this? Priority swing works fine. Some fine modern excavators use the system also. I would say it would not be the best for someone wanting to try to dig at low rpms.

Case 580 SL VS 590 SL Backhoe

Definitely use up the fuel running the backhoe on the early 590L, as the priority swing prefers 2000 rpm min.

Case 580 SL VS 590 SL Backhoe

I need to make another reply, to up my status. So old thread is fine , right? I have a 580 super k ( not quite an L), and a 590 super L. The swing on the 580 is faster by far. The 590 is more robust, and faster in most other ways. The 590 is more "nimble" . I think from the wide stance and...

    580 Super K Hydraulic question

Thank you for the welcome Tinkerer. I will pull the screen and clean it with the oil change this time. Obviously more important than I thought to clean with every service. Dan

    580 Super K Hydraulic question

Getting ready to do this fluid change. Wondering what could plug the screen? Someone leaving the fill cap off for debris to get in?
