Not sure where to put this.... How to store gasoline...

My metal gas cans all got water in them at one time or another and rusted the insides, had to throw them out. I liked them too but I don't think you can get the good ones any more that have the vent tube that goes up past the gasket.

    Cost of new pickups

It must be a matter of perception, because I was driving a 97 7.3 F-250 diesel manual 5 speed bench seat to and from work, and driving a modern Super Duty 6.4 as a work truck, and I did not care any more about the modern SD. And since then the SD has been sold due to numerous problems and...

Not sure where to put this.... How to store gasoline...

They sell new gasoline in 55 gallon drums, along with other chemicals, so it ought to be safe to store anyway.

    Cost of new pickups

A warranty is only good if the dealer knows how to fix what goes wrong, and has time to do it after all the other warranty work gets done. I've seen the service line at our Ford dealer, jammed up with fleet trucks waiting for their turn for the lift that takes the cab off.

    Cost of new pickups

When I used to work on fireline hand crews, after a 16 hour day on foot in the bottom of some canyon or worse yet a night or two "spiked out" camping rough, an old truck with crank windows and no AC sitting in the hot sun for days sure looked good even if you were riding in the bed of it...

    Cost of new pickups

I bought a 2002 Ford E-250 van with a 6 cylinder and 250k on the clock for $5k last year. I really like it. Not my daily work truck but it is nice when I do drive it. I wish it had cruise control but it does have AC.

    Cost of new pickups

Poll is an archaic word and not related to voting originally. But actually makes sense. Outlawed because of abuses at a certain time in our history. But its effect would be, those who don't produce don't get to vote themselves benefits. There is that third party again. Party A gives money...

    Cost of new pickups

It is called a head tax. $10k and if you can't pay it you simply don't get to vote. Not a popular idea these days but I think it has great merit.

    Cost of new pickups

That is the essence of it right there. 2 parties = good. 3 parties = not so good.

    Cost of new pickups

Exactly, if the mfr wants the dealer to sell closer to list price then they should produce as many as the dealer wants to order! If they only produce a scant few, then the prices are going to rise. If the dealer is not allowed to sell at a high markup then some speculator will buy it and...

    3306 genset

You can put on a way oversize gen head if you want to. It will take barely any more power to turn it, most of the power demand is simply the demand of the equipment on the other end of the cable. If you put on an oversize gen head, the chances of it burning down are much lower.

    EV

It makes perfect sense electromechanically to use a battery and a little generator. So long as the truck is used for short acceleration and long cruise. If you point it up the side of a mountain and leave it near the floorboards for half an hour like we do around here your results might be...

    Memories for us old truckers

I see that too, seems the stupid money is disappearing.

    Any brand log trucks

5 axles is all they have around here, figure it doesn't scrub up the pavement I guess. 80,000 lbs and that is that, no 105,500 or anything like that.

    Tire monitoring

Killed a friend of mine years ago out on the side of the Superslab.
