    Buying red diesel

I am not saying you can’t use red in heavy equipment I know you can what I am saying is when you buy it I don’t think you can say it is farm use or use your AG number to buy it if it clearly isn’t used for the listed qualified AG purposes. Some people farm and buy thousands of gallons of red...

    Buying red diesel

No it doesn’t. Farm use has a very specific definition in the tax code. Who Qualifies for Agricultural and Timber Exemptions? If you are a farmer, rancher or timber producer engaged in one of the activities listed below, you qualify for tax exemption on the purchase of certain items used to...

    Buying red diesel

What’s the law? I am 99% sure it is legal for me to use red diesel in my dozer and excavator. It seems like it would be illegal to buy it using an ag/timber card because doing so you are swearing the item purchased is for farm use and it’s not.

    Buying red diesel

I know it is legal to run red diesel in heavy equipment but how do you get it? Here in Texas the only places I have found that sell it cater to farmers and they won’t sell it to you unless you show them an Ag/timber card.

How do I get this pin out?

Thanks. And while no one specifically recommended what I did the replies I received got the gears turning in my head and enabled me to figure it out. The biggest challenge and while I didn’t just trial and error it was the remote location of the machine and needing to specifically plan and pack...

How do I get this pin out?

It wasn’t easy but the pin is out. I welded a bolt on top of it, cut a piece of pipe and slid it over the bolt, then used an old spring hanger from a trailer axle and some washers and tightened the bolt to pull the pin.

How do I get this pin out?

I have a mag drill but no bits as long as the pin nor as big as it.

How do I get this pin out?

I may have to resort to this. I have never rebuilt a cylinder though. I normally just take them in. The other side is out though.

How do I get this pin out?

I’m not sure. The machine is two hours from here in the middle of nowhere. I am planning on working on it today but need to take whatever I may need with me. My goal is to get the cylinder off and take it to a shop Monday for repair.

How do I get this pin out?

That’s a brilliant idea I really like using machines to fix themselves unfortunately in this case there are other components in the way directly beneath the pin that would prevent doing this.

How do I get this pin out?

My tilt cylinder needs rebuilding. This pin won’t budge to get it out. What is the best way to remove it?

    Deere 750J overheating

I didn’t do detailed measurements and record the various readings but I did shoot it with a temp gun and it is definitely overheating. I didn’t remove the radiator or use a light but I opened up the front guard and washed on it for about 15 minutes with a pressure washer

    Deere 750J overheating

I recently purchased a 750J. It is overheating. Seller said he replaced thermostat a year ago. I changed all filters and oil yesterday. The fan seems to be blowing good. It will blow off a baseball hat if you stand right by it. The radiator looked clean but I blew / washed it out with no...
