    580K brakes

Everything is like the picture shows. It is a phase three. All it good condition. the rubber hoses and rear brakes are new. They worked a little while after the brake rebuild. I checked that the rods are giving max stroke. I checked the manual. It said to fill master cylinders. I know there is...

    580K brakes

We pulled the hard line from the rubber hose line on top of transaxle, checked hard line for pressure. there is no pressure. Very little fluid movement. The peddles have no resistance. reservoir fluid level remaining constant. Good idea. Will check for fluid on both sides of pistons. The other...

    580K brakes

No brakes peddle just goes to floor. Cannot get the master cylinders to make pressure. Been having issues for years, having to pump up one side, and the other not feeling 100 percent. original ones being old were first suspect. I ordered some chinesium replacements. No fix. Odd two bad masters...

What's the worst situation you've had to get out of?

My old 580K and i were pre pairing a big hole at the base of a dam for fill. Max dig reach and the hole has mud and water in it. so i am working on the edge and had a brain fart. Went to move back a little using the hoe for propulsion as always. Something went wrong, I do remember exactly, But...

Where does old machinery go to die ?

I saw one 580K parked by the road in a fenced contractors lot. Every time i would drive by i would wonder about pieces i needed. And marvel at the pieces that disappeared. That carried on for several months until it was pretty much just the main frame. Then it was gone. Sort of a disappearing act?

    Case backhoe differences

I think? It is a maintenance item. It keeps mud and stuff out. Also retains oil leaks. Bet there is an interval for pulling that plug and checking.

    What's your hoe doing?

Correct you are. Case 580K Phase 3 - She is starting to show her age. Replaced 40' culvert at the road. Total brake failure Got the brakes replaced. (expensive and three days labor) I got every bit of life from them. One side came out in pieces. Finished reforming the ditches and build a catch...
