    Perkins 2300 Manual

Hi Friends, Hope I am posting in the correct spot, as I did not see a chipper channel. Anyway, I am in search of the Perkins 2300 4cy engine manual. Serial is not legible and all I can make out is 5701/2300 Perkins. Thank you

Cat 3046 Gurus. Oil consumption question

There should be almost no vertical movement of turbo shaft. There will be a very slight amount of plunging movement. That picture looks like your turbo shaft seals are pushing oil to the turbine side of turbo

Cat 3046 Gurus. Oil consumption question

How is the exhaust dripping but the turbo exhaust turbine dry? Do you have the serial number of the 315L? I can look up in SIS.

    Bobcat 743 Spool issue

if the valve has load check poppets, they could possibly be hung up by debris... I would ensure all spools are centered, then disconnect the lift/lower output function lines (leaving valve and going to cylinder) and connect a enerpac pump with a gauge and slowly pressurize the spool, this should...

    Bobcat 743 Spool issue

Spools should not be tight in their respective bores, they are essentially slip fit with only oil film making up the clearance. Did the spools have any wear or marks on them? Did you ensure no internal leakage between valve sections? Lift spool could be receiving all or most flow resulting in...

    JD 315 Crank no start

Pulled intake, no broken springs on pumping units. I can see the rack moving in block, it doesn't seem it's moving as much as the shut off solenoid is moving at the cover end? No bent push rods either....

    JD 315 Crank no start

Ok, I'm here now. Pinching return did not help. I pulled front fuel rack cover and it seems the rack is moving... Radiator so close had to get a accurate measurement. There is a lever that the fuel shut off his banging and staying in one position, but I can move it back to neutral? The magnet...

    JD 315 Crank no start

Engine cranks strong to 320RPM, confirmed on display while cranking. Did not pinch fuel line but did pull a slight vacuum on return while cranking and had fuel. Ether was barely used, I understand it's constraints.. It was used to test for pop off. I do not know if it has been used in the past...

    JD 315 Crank no start

Read through what I could find on here about this engine but it was old so I started a new thread. I got a call today to check out a 315 for no start, I am second to this as the dealer put a starter and battery in it and told customer it was not worth fixing... The machine has 487 hours on it...
