Gawd help me... We are considering getting a log truck

Why would someone spend close to 200 grand for a new truck that might make 80 bucks an hour and 30 of that goes into the fuel tank. If you run used equipment then the benefit of smaller payments is offset by extra repair costs. If you want to buy trucks to get your wood moved they need to get...

    Loaders, Limbers and Roadbuilders.

You could put an excavator boom on a Tigercat L855 and you would have a 300 hp leveling excavator with a ton of swing tourqe

Maybe they use them because they get them at a good price. I have had 2 trucks with 60 series in them, both bought because they were cheap. Got better fuel mileage than the cats and cummins on the same job and had zero mechanical problems. To the best of my knowledge they are still running fine.

Can't we all just get along. I get tremendous satisfaction seeing the pictures and learning about the companies and people behind them. No one should use information on this site to profit unless they ask the poster first ie is that machine for sale, could you ask the owner if I could sell it...

    CAT 345 Hydraulics

If your pilot pressure is to low if will not release the travel brakes and will make all the other functions slow or not work at all. We had a machine with a weak spring in the pilot relief that sounds like similar symptoms. I adjusted the pilot pressure and the problems went away. Most pilot or...

I owned and ran a BE 30B for years with a tag master, how hard is it to learn to run snorkle machine and cast the grapple without having a giant mess of your lines. Do you have a thumb button to run the brake on the crowd drum? Thanks
