Hi everyone greetings from mexico. I have a 980g series 2kr00356. The diagnostics alarm is on showing the icon for power train filter obstruction flashing.
What could it be ? We have already replaces powertrain filter and checked oil level.
On the other hand I have another issue which involves starting the machine. Operator says something that I belive has no relation, he says sometimes the loader will not start but if he starts to play or move the steering wheel it will start. He says something about a "sensor" on the steering wheel which I don't belive. Yesterday it wouldn't just start we replaced the starter and it worked fine. Do you guys thing it could have been a starter issue since the beginning and the thought the steering wheel had something to do with it or is there any relation between the steering wheel with allowing the machine to start or not. Thanks for all your help.

Make sure they replaced the trans filter on the top of engine compartment and used a genuine cat filter there is a sensor on that housing for the filter restriction id I remember right Hopefully the filers are not plugging

Wires break in the steering column where they move and cause odd problems I suppose if the right one shorted it might think its not in neutral

G..G..G..Granville.........!! Fetch your cloth.
You replaced the correct filter. Cat Part Number is 1R-0719. Before you go buying a Cat filter and changing the element again, see below .........

Is the SERV CODE icon on the Monitor Panel illuminated.? If so you will need to get into the Monitor to find out what Codes are Active. I suggest that you have a look at this thread to get a general idea of how the Service Tool works. Take special note of the part on the Page 3 of the thread where it shows how you can use a couple of pieces of automotive wire to pull Codes. https://www.heavyequipmentforums.com/threads/the-famous-cat-click-box.72956/

If you have the steering wheel with forward/neutral/reverse switch on it you most likely have wiring issue causing the machine to not see neutral and thus blocking the starter relay.
