And that is the beauty of it. No one is putting a gun to my head and making me work somewhere and no is making you keep me. More often then not it is for the better to move on and find something else and in your case someone else.

In this scene with sacks on their heads it's like the old song {Six little puffer billy's all in a row} Cogsworth Cogs-Jettson your fired.

I was chatting with my water well driller this afternoon, he's put ads out looking for help - not one response but this is a semi rural area. It's not easy work.

If it's easy it really isn't work- but according to Webster.

I had some trucks on the road locally with drivers in them. When my mother retired she got bored, so she ran the office for me. She'd listen to the driver/babies whine a little while, then she always said the same thing, "If it was fun, we wouldn't call it work, AND WE WOULDN'T PAY YOU! Now go do it!"

The company I work for is absolutely scraping the bottom of the barrel for drivers just like every other company. In the last year we have had at least 7 make it two days and quit.
One quit the same day he started. Some leave the keys in the ignition and just walk away 100 miles from terminal. Food service company that parks in our yard three route drivers
in three months. It's getting so tough the owner is on the edge of culling 15 tractors with high mileage buy five new and cut the number of trucks from 65 to 55.

I think I remember a while back your company planning for a downturn also, what is the status of that now? Two birds with one stone? Hearing some rumblings I do not like in my business here as well.

We have had drivers pick up a load 20 miles from the yard bring it back to the yard park the truck and just walkoff never even say a word and it’s an easy job I make 220 a day for 7 hrs of work with good benefits easiest driving job I’ve ever had

With everything that's going on in U.S. it's pretty hard for a business to know which way to jump.
But the biggest problem in this business is the work force. At least at this point.

I feel like the whole country is holding it's breath, and no matter what happens moving forward, we're so divided and we've had SO many major stress points this year, it's just kinda like we all have disaster burnout. Waiting for Jesus, Satan, or aliens to show up, right? Hell I can't hang onto unqualified help, the last guy I had working part time has a real job with a local outfit, he welds on their logging fleet in shop and out in the field, fills in at their machine shop, especially driveline work, and if they're shorthanded in the body shop he helps out there. In his spare time he welds for me, and mounts birds. Good thing he's young!
