Serial # 8450 Yep. That's it.
Date is not stamped in the tag. But figure really old.
I'm new to this forum. It looks like a good resource of info. Glad I could join easily.
I'm trying to track down seals for the lift rams on lift. I'm not against buying a parts book on ebay but I haven't been able to find one that looks like my machine.
Now to the pics
So if anyone has any ideas for a seal kit please let me know.

You could try emailing the factory. Otherwise, seal kits are overrated. take the cylinders apart, take the gland and piston into a hydraulics shop, they'll most likely install the seals while you wait. Or, order them individually from hercules etc.

There should be a part # stamped on the cylinder barrel near the bottom. That will be the part number for the cylinder assembly. You can call Pettibone at 906-353-4800 and follow the prompts to the parts dept. Give them your model, serial, and cylinder number. It’s unlikely they will have a seal kit in stock for something that old but you can try. Ask them who is your dealer for Nevada because they won’t sell direct and you will need to go through your nearest dealer.

I found the part number on the non-leaking cylinder which helped locate where it is on the leaker. When I called they looked up my machine and gave me the part number and year it was built. So I have a 1964. The guy also told me where it was originally sold. Do I have a Canadian forklift "EH". They also gave me a dealer name to order from. Big thanks to the people here to steer me in the right direction.
After this experience with Pettibone I will not hesitate to buy another old Pettibone if the chance comes around.

It works pretty good except for the rear axle just kinda wanders back and forth. No matter where I put the selector for the steering mode. It is kinda annoying but I am used to it and can still get it to go wherever I want it to. I am also not using this thing to make money, just for around my house and yard. The funny thing is when I go to work and all our forklifts drive how they are supposed to it kinda throws me off. I use mine way more than I drive them at work. LOL

I drove a super 6 that the rear wheels liked to wander. It sorted itself out eventually so I couldn't tell you what it was. It's not as complicated as it might seem. First, have you tried operating it for a while in all three steering functions, stop to stop in each?

Not exactly like you say, but I've had it for like 5 years. Its always done it

Pettibone only made two manuals for each machine. Most of the machines are sort of a one off so they never mass produced manuals. One particular to the machine shipped with it, the other was kept at corporate. I sent the serial number to Pettibone and got one for my Super 6 a few years ago. Now all converted to electronic files they downloaded it into a dropbox for me. Another member here tried to get one and they wanted a fair bit of change to do the same. I think what helped me was the fact that the company I worked for has a fleet of over 50 Pettibone zoom booms and adding more all the time. My email was on company letterhead. They are great machines. I also have a Super 8 that is going to get a Detroit transplant one of these days. The old International gasser has had enough.
